About the only one who can't win this sled outside of Harris Publishing is Christopher (sorry, Chris, somebody has to make sure the drawing is legit).

Any member of the Forums who participates in this thread will have a chance. Paid members will have better odds because they will be entered for being paid members, as well as for participating in the thread.

We will also increase the odds for those who swing by the Forum booth at the Utah and Idaho snow shows and get a first-hand look at the sled. Basically, we'll give some of you old goats opportunities to stuff the ballot box before the drawing. But regardless, the odds are still pretty good.

Ive been watching this build and the only thing I would add would be the wrp low pro seat the one that fits the 12-13 proclimb tanks others wise I would say its about perfect would love to own it

SnoWest Arctic Cat Giveaway

So recently Arctic Cat corporate called and said they had an extra 2015 snowmobile that wasn’t assigned to anyone and wondered if I wanted to do anything with it—sort of like turn it into a project or something. They told me to think about it and let them know.

Then a few days ago I was out with the Cat engineering team riding their 2016s. Boy do those mountain sleds work. So I started asking detailed questions about the changes … and asked if there are a few spare 2016 parts lying around. After some quick negotiations (and perhaps a promise of a front cover photo to one of their guys) I managed to load up a bunch of parts for my project.

Now here’s the thing … once Cat corporate realized I had some goodies that would fit on that extra 2015, they told me I could have at it … but there would be a few stipulations.

1) I could turn the 2015 into a 2016.
2) I could add anything else to it as long as it reflected the standards of Arctic Cat.
3) I could use any forum members to offer help and suggestions along the process.
4) But I couldn’t keep the snowmobile because of my noted conflict of interest with the magazine. However, since it will be a modified sled, Cat couldn’t take it back either. So somehow I must give the sled away come next December after the build was complete.

So here’s where we stand: Christopher and I are going to start building the sled with some of the parts I appropriated from Cat’s R&D facility. We will tell you what we’re adding and why we’re adding it, but only as it’s permitted by a Cat embargo on the 2016 sleds. And we would like any and all suggestions on what other fun things we can do to make this project really special for some forum member who will receive it next Fall.

The clock is ticking. Let’s get to work.

The premium items that most mountain riders want could be offered during the Snow Check period so those buyers could get factory installed premium items at a reduced price because the stock items would not have to be purchased then removed and put in a box and premium items put on the sled after being purchased at full retail price. I'm talking about things like:
1. Shocks
2. Seats
3. GPS guidance systems vs the stock Tach - Speedo
4. Tracks
5. Skis
6. Color
7. Luggage
I'm not saying these items need to be free but the dollar saving to Cat buyers would add up to significant amounts if they could do this. Especially if the buyer is currently riding a competitive brand and none of his or her accessories fit on a Cat.

I think you should add the OFT Turcotte steering kit. And my birthday is dec 10 so a new sled and a trip would be a great present.

Here' the link to Part 10. We added a Speedwerx lightweight can. This is the easiest install and comes with a significant weight savings. I was able to put the Forum sled and a stock M8000 SnoPro on the scales last night--both full of fuel and oil. The Forum sled topped out at 544 wet, compared to 559 wet for the stock sled. That's within a couple of pounds of the 2015 Summit.

would be super.
Just my preference that this sled remain normal aspirated induction, offers good weight reductions for chassy balance and stays real with realistic rider dollars spent for sensible premium enhanced H.P. bolt ons.
And, still only 91 octane fuel requirement we can all get pretty easily without the ethanol or oxygenated mix.
