Snow Park meeting in Woodland Wa, 2-2

Trust me I may sound like I am sticking up for them but in reality no. I know there are lots of problems thru out the system. BUT it's still a pretty darn good program concidering, Like you said, YOUR own rep let you down. How can you "beat" on the board because of the poor quality or lack of plowing in your area. They cant and wont , go out and check, THATS YOUR CORDINATORS or the people involved's responsiblilty. Here you are blaming the board and state parks for the bad management you have had in your area. How can you possibley blame them for that.?? Like I said, they dont know there's a problem if no one makes the call. Now we get the worst winter in 11 years and now people are out raged, Ya know , We've been saying for 2 years we need more money in the program, but nobody wanted to listen. How could we possibly have known , sitting in a meeting in 100 degree's in yakima in late July we would have this kind of winter,?? I will make sure at the meeting in July this year that you bring your crystal ball and help us out. @#$%^&@! Boy this upsets me when people jump in after all we've done for years and tear the manure out of a program they hardly know anthing about. I glad you want to get involed, we need more people to do that. Happy trails, I'm sure something will get worked out. As for me I'm off to another meeting tonight to see what we can do at greenwater, No plowing money there either.

The entire board let all of us down. If you can't read a simple spreadsheet and after years of "budgeting" and all of a sudden you have to "pass a motion" to have someone from "fiscal" explain it to the board. It's too late for redemption.

As you know, I beat on the board for their failure to take the steps necessary to understand the budget BEFORE they took part in creating and administering it! You heard me...I said that they should be "ashamed" of themselves and I also said that it was completely inappropriate to make jokes about losing $114,000. It does not matter that you "bought" their explanation. I didn't, I won't and changes WILL be made.

I blame the board for their failure to ensure that the contracts were adhered to. I hold them ultimately responsible because that is what they volunteered to do. Let's not forget to mention that not too long ago there were safeguards in place. Plowing was verified by local individuals before payment was made. Why did they get rid of the safeguards? If this is happening here are you so beyond reason that you cannot see that it is most likely happening elsewhere? For the life of me I cannot understand why you are so unwilling to admit that the system is broken.

I wouldn't give these folks, especially with James at the helm, another penny. He is ineffective, unconcerned and incompetent. What was it he said to me? Oh Yeah, he said "Go talk to your Governor", Like she was even elected! That is certainly not an answer or response anyone in "public service" has any business spitting out. Especially after he just "misplaced" $114,000.00 of MY money.

If you are happy with the system good for you. The great majority of the attendees at that meeting were pretty ticked off at the behavior of James, lovely how he threatened Don with a gun wasn’t it, and the lack of results and lack of answers from the board. Change needs to be made.

Oh and the meeting in Yakima....What in the world are these people doing putting together a budget before they know how much money they have to budget? When I brought that up they made and passed the motion to try and actually get the budget numbers before they create the budget. AMAZING!

Man, you are not in touch with reality. You need to think more clearly. The program is outdated, full of waste and out of touch with reality. After reading your posts I have a clearer picture of the program than you have. When a program needs to be gutted and rebuilt for the betterment of Winter Recreation than it needs to be done. The fact that it's been running poorly for so long is no reason to keep it running poorly.

Snowsharkette and Kiki thank you for representing me, my family and friends. We are huge snowmobilers mainly, but enjoy most winter sports including back country snow mo skiing, snow boarding, and click clicking. Why has the media not picked up this story?

Jet johnso, we all know we need some more money for the cause and are willing to pay SOME more but put down the damn cool aid! Thank you for fighting the cause but wake the fu(k up! They are misshandling my money and I'm not willing to blame it on snow. Thank you for your years of service but maybe you, and your old school mentality should find another cause.

A true, good, contractor builds the unknown in to their bid (gas, maint, time and breakdowns.) And they turn in their damn invoices on time or they don't get paid!! If you think it's not the state's problem to check on the work they are paying for than who should do it?

Should we volentier? As far as I know, it is against the f-ing stupid law to clear a snow park or groom a trail with your own groomer or tractor. This pisses me off to no end. It's like saying we have a water shortage in Western Washington. F-ING STUPID!! PUT DOWN THE COOL AID!!
