Snow!!! How 'bout some reports

Looks like a pretty darn good storm and even more on the way. I have heard reports from reliable sources that Irwin got up to 2 feet as did the Molas/Lizard Head/ Red Mountain region. Haven't heard an official number from Grand Mesa, but I think they are getting pounded as well. Looks like the wave arriving tomorrow could be just as big!!! Finally!

The last storm on RE dropped about 24". It was thick, heavy and wet snow. Hopefully it will help create a better and more solid base for the next round of the champagne powder we all love so much. Things are shaping up and the last few rides have been more enjoyable. For the first time last week we got stuck, trenched and didn't hit dirt. If the forecast keeps up this weekend will be shaping up to be pretty fun also.

The Mesa is getting GOOD. Still not where it normally is, but it is VERY rideable now. Lots of pockets of nice snow. This week will really help it out.

Over the hood all day today at Vail Pass

Didn't trench out once....

I think this storm may have finally got us back on track in some areas.

We have a white base instead of a brown one!

The Grand Mesa is great right now. We received just over a foot last week and another 12" last night and it snowed all day today and it is still snowing. This last storm was pure perfect Colorado Champagne Powder. Been riding the last 3 days and it really is perfect. My whole blody is hurting from all the stucks and miles put on. We are nearly back to normal snow depth with more snow on the way. I'll try and get some pics up by tomorrow. If you have been delaying a trip, no need to worry anymore, the Mesa is back in business!

I hit up molas on tuesday solo. About 18 inches id guess, more where it windloaded. Got really stuck a couple times, makes you tired fast. it was still snowing off and on when I left.
