Snow + High Wind = Avalanche. Be careful later this week.

Hey guys (and gals),

I've just been thinking a lot about this forecasted snow storm. With the fresh new snow and A LOT of wind, the conditions will be ripe for avalanches on Thursday & Friday. Given that a lot of peeps won't be working on Friday, that could cause a big problem with riding the new snow in Dangerous Avy conditions. For many peeps, Friday may be the first ride of the year.....don't let it be the last.

Just be careful later this week!

Forecast in Colorado is for 80 mph winds, it will be really bad for a couple days. People focus on the hills and cornices, but don't forget about terrain traps.
