Snow bike tie down

D rings to the floor of my truck, pieces of chain hooked to those, 2 heavy duty carabiners. I put the bike into the truck and lean it a little to one side and put the caribiner through the footpeg, then put my belly on the seat while pushing it away from me and set the caribiner on the other side. It takes me less time to strap down my bike than anyone in my group and my suspension is compressed maybe 1/2 inch if that. You can bomb over anything, drive as fast as you want...stop as fast as you want, the thing never budges with zero compression on anything. Its the exact same set up as that racking system shown but the attachment point is a Harbor Freight $3 D ring.

I'm using turn buckles and S track.

Clip the turn buckle to the quick connect anchor and stick the loop end of the turn buckle through the peg and rotate it 90 degrees. Clip a caraniner to make sure it doesn't come loose when it gets bumpy.

I used hook turn buckles before and on occasion it would come off if I hit a big bump.

Oh and I used a hand brake lock for extra measures.

I had issues with those backing out or stripping FYI... Even slowly working there way out...I found using the d ring to a chain to a carabiner worked the best.. this year I am using the motovan though

Still have it to tow heavy stuff.... Wife did not like loading bikes on it so this is her rig....but yes converted to 4x4... I tell you I love the van and would have one as my full time ride if I did not need the diesel ....

That is a sweet ride, hard to find the 4x4 vans. So does your snow bike fit all the way inside the van?

If I would not have kept seating for 5 bit as is I have 8 feet... I am thinking of adding some door for the ski... I converted it ... To 4x4... But look up at the thread the doors don't shut all the way ...

I now own the patent and manufacture Moto Cinch strapless tie down system for dirt and street bikes. We are designing a snow bike conversion kit that can be used with any version of our tie downs. Can anyone tell me the average peg height of a snow bike? Based on what I have seen, its 16-18”. Our MX version adjusts from 13.5-16”. The “boot” (fits over the peg) is 2.5” wide and 1.5” high.

The pegs on my KTM with riot and TS wheel kit are 18.5 inches.

I bet and 18 inch range would work for my bike give there would be a bit of compression when leaning the bike to hook he second cinch.
