Snoho COHO!

wicked battle on 8lb test, sucker ran under and around the boat a few times before letting me snap this awful lighted pic of him.. my wife rocked it with the netting skills and my son was a rad cheer section.. makes for a kick *** day..topped with steak dinners at the Buzz Inn while watching parachuter's drop over our heads at sunset. :face-icon-small-coo:camera:

I don't remember ever seeing a year where we needed rain so friggin bad...

Albacore have been off the hook this year, parden the pun. They're biting bare hooks right now on bait stops.

Being a former charter boat owner operator, it's nice to have a little place out in the Pacific I call the "pain hole". I go there when we desire limits of kings. I also call it the "Billy Walsh shuffle" (fuel dock owner) due to the fuel you will burn. But the pay-off is always good.

I'm not a big camera when fishing person. Here's a couple from my pain hole runs.

I normally just tell people we got skunked.

got four fish in the boat yesterday, lots of fish from the gas line up, getting tuff after the sun comes out ,hope fridays rain will be about 3/4 inch

we motored up just past doug bar, lots of non biting flopping fish..
got back to the launch at Cady park and a couple people had done ok in the lower river.. maybe we should have stayed low.. its tough out there right now!!

We are seeing historic low flows almost everywhere. I would fish the salt wedge in the estuary or known deep spots up river. The fish will run at night. All the river forecast models are calling for flows to rise in the tribs and upper rivers on Sunday. I bet the over cast days will extend the morning push; Friday –Sunday should be excellent!

I have a sled deck to get done so I will miss it:face-icon-small-sad

on with our 2nd river blow out! we needed the 1st one for sure!!

it was just getting back to nice fishy water yesterday.. and then... ... .......:face-icon-small-dis

back when i worked at the Wallace hatchery we would use big wads of eggs when the water turned color for the coho. I would still get hits on dick nites and jigs (jigs were on for the summer steelhead). Flossing is healthy; well maybe not so much for the fish, but u get the point!

I am horriable at actully taking the time to take pics but here are a few from around the state this year!
