SnoCaps?

I had that exact brand on my my old two place. Very durable and well built kit. Only issue was the zipper handles, snapped off when super cold. I just added zip ties in the actual zipper and worked great. The canvas was strong and never had any issues with it. Great product, would buy again!

I have one thats about 6 years old. The only thing wrong is that some of the stitching on the back flap/door needs to be re-sewn. This trailer goes from MN to the U.P. once or twice a year and out to Montana or Wyoming (1000 miles each way) twice a year. I usually go about 75 and have never had any problems with the top. I've had up to 16" of snow on the top without problems when its waiting to be used.

Were you able to fold to thing down when you didnt need to protect your sleds from slush and such?

Fold down?? not sure what this means? You can uninstall the whole top fairly quickly if wanted to have an open trailer, as it bolts to the trailer sides. However once mine was on it was never removed.

I had one of the older ones with the gray canvas on a 12' Floe Trailer and it lasted about 7-8 years (if I remember right). Stored inside all of it's life. and made the 572 mile round trip to the cabin 7-9 times a season before the main seam gave out on the way up to the cabin. I talked with Snocap after it happened and they offered me a good deal on the newer black canvas (which is supposed to be stronger) to replace it but I decided to upgrade to a solid wall enclosed. Now after having one of the Floe Protektor's I do notice a couple of things. The snocap is very lightweight compared to the Protektor but being canvas it does catch a lot of wind on the front wall. Depending on what you are towing with you may or may not notice it. With my 1/2 ton the 12' Snocap pulled harder at speed then my 14' Protektor does. And my mileage is better with the Protektor then it was with the Snocap.

I have not pulled a trailer with the newer black canvas so all of the issues I had with the older one may have been eliminated now.

looks like it would keep your sleds clean. I have a 14' aluma 8614 pulling with a 1/2 ton. I want the sled protection of an enclosed trailer but dont want to have to pull the weight.
