Snobunje

ditto on the handle snobunje - works like a charm. I keep mine in the shovel puch of my Boss seat but have seen them wrapped around handlebars or sterring post as well. I have seen the sled to sled pulls and they work well IF you can get another sled in front of your buddies. Usually the dumbA#@ is stuck somewhere that its easier to hike to get him.

that sounds about right for me and my friends

I saw it being demonstrated at the Puyullap snow show and was pretty amazed. Kicking myself for not pickin one up then and there. Now I gotta drive down to the Moto shop tommorow night.

Make yer own redneck bunjee

i have one with two hooks but i also carry an old wakeboarding handle with me so if i get stuck in a spot that you cant get another sled to it makes it nice to have somthing to hang onto

A number of folks I ride with have the two hook versions and more are getting them every year. I wouldn't ride without it. Those of us with AC M's loop them around the back of the tunnel on top of the bumper and hook each end on the gas rack. That way it's near where you use it and you're not using up storage that's useful for other things.

This works for me..

Where do you guy’s keep it when your riding?

This is where I keep mine most of the time riding.. Usually stays in place if you wind it around the risers a few times...

GET THE HOOK TO HOOK FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a handle to hook and gave it away after my 5th attempt with it.. Piece of junk IMO!! I was riding with ROTAX last winter and he had the hook to hook one and I was blown away with how well it worked. night and day dif. from the handle version. I immediatly went and bought one!

Only have the Handle version, works great once you figure it out.

For you guys with the double hook model, whats your technique?

Maybe I am missing something here, but if you are using a hook to hook one where a buddy can just pull up infront of ya and hook on, why did you manage to get stuck in the first place? 99 times out of 100, I am stuck pointed heavily uphill, and/or in trees with absolutely no way for anyone to get to me without hiking, nevermind pull ahead from a stop.

Exactly, or halfway down in a ravine that there is no way I am following them into....

Best way - I learned from watching was, drive around the front of the stuck sled and pack a track in. then come back around, stop. hook one hook to a ski loop and the other end to your rear handle. drive till the bunje is tight as possable. have the stuck sled give some gas and at the same time you give a pull with the other sled. works awesome!!

heres a pic..

Well, if your stuck that bad, whats any bunje gonna do??? I like it cause its that much less time pulling others in your group out and more time riding. makes my day better. plus, I think you would be pretty suprised the situations you can get your sled into and out of with it..

Maybe im wrong and your just that good of a rider and only get stuck in the most extreme circumstances..?!? I personally like getting stuck. that means the snow is DEEEEEEEEP!!!

I keep my Rattler (handle and hook version) in my tunnel bag.

Like any other tool it isn't perfect for every application, like on a mountain face with the machine pointed uphill, but it works extremly well in most applications. Ever try to lift a Yamaha 4 stroke out of a hole??? The Rattler works amazingly well!

We carry several hundred feet of very strong nylon rope, We track a double wide path as close as possible. Hook the Cobra via the strap to the ski loop and the other hook to the doubled rope to the tow sled, with the driver on the stuck sled. The rope stretches and the bunje stretches and when it starts to recoil and move you both get on the throttle. You WILL be amazed! We have gotten out of impossible spots on the first pull. Our group varies in age from 62 to 82 so we try not to do much shoveling. We carry 3 Cobras.

I just bought a Snobunje today and came back to read this thread for the advice. Thanks for all the great posts. I've got lower back problems and am hoping that when/if I do get stuck- or help someone who is- that it will save my back. :)

I prefer the rattler (hook and handle). It seems more often than not that the stuck sled is somewhere too difficult to hook a sled in front of. Also I can use the rattler when I am by myself. Sno-Bunje makes a ratchet rope which is 30 feet of rope with a ratchet wheel pully that alows a person to pull tension and the ratchet pully wheel will hold it, Just hook the rattler to the ski loop hook one end of the ratchet rope to the rattler and the other to a tree, pull tension to stretch the rattler (the ratchet pully will hold the tension) and throttle out of the hole. I also carry an extra 50 feet of rope.

I have the one with a hook on both ends, wouldn't ride without it. I also have a loop of strap that can be used as a handle so you don't have to go sled to sled unless you have to.
