Smart Warmers on 7S Mountain Sleds

Do we really know if there is a shortage of smartwarmers or did they never intend to install them because of the different handlebar controls from the trail sleds?
I don't believe there's any hard data. My guess is it was their intention with the new switches from snowcheck build pages shown earlier in thread along with them advertising it for these sleds and having it enabled in the pre production displays.

Just another Chinese Cluster F***. Poo has always had their share of them (like every OEM). We also have to accept the 850's will hold together, given the stop sale, and they actually fixed the real issue. I don't believe our expectations are too high - at least deliver to the what and when commitment you made, at the agreed upon price. Lowering expectations is accepting mediocrity or worse. Don't think for a second they'd accept my check bouncing due to a payment-processing-supply-chain issue. Disappointed in the bait and switch for the 7S warmers feature - check. I'd be less disappointed if I had at least a confirmed ship date for the 165. Right now it's a unicorn.

This truly pisses me off! I had a 21 Switchback with the 7s warmer feature and that was one of the biggest selling points in me pulling the trigger on a new $20,000+ Boost! I will be contacting Polaris when I get my sled and telling them I expect the upgrade I paid for! Will I get something? IDK.. If I don't I may be looking a different direction when Doo catches up on that tech.

Do you have an order confirmation that shows you would be receiving them with your new sled?
I have confirmation that I ordered a 7S display that was advertised to include the smart warmer option.

Did you get confirmation your sled would come with a primary clutch? Or did you just assume that it would be bolted to your 850/650 engine?

I found this on Polaris website.. It tells me I'm not getting what I paid for!

"If your snowmobile is equipped with a 7S display, you can change the heat level by pressing the Heated Grip button (1) on the left hand controls or by opening the Badge Panel on the 7S display.
The heat levels of the grips are customizable by temperature. To change the heat settings of your hand grips, press the Polaris button to open the Badge Panel."

While it is disappointing that we won't be getting that feature on the RMK sleds this year it doesn't seem like that huge of a deal and maybe something that could be added in the future if the 23s come with it. Also a lot of people seem to be saying they aren't getting what they paid for... If you haven't received your sled then you didn't pay for anything and don't have to pay for it when the sled does arrive at the dealer.

polaris has only been testing this sled for how long.? Just say that due to circumstances beyond our control this part is unavailable Man up and grow a pair. We need to hold companies and or peoples feet to the fire when they don’t deliver on a contract. If the snow was deep in the west the tempers would be flying with a late delivery date.

It depends on the customer... It is a big deal for some. If they offer it next year and give it to 2022 owners for free, I'd be happy. Either this or offset it with a refund. And about
not paying for it, I would tend to disagree. If you don't have another sled to ride, (or buy, which is common with current market) your hands are tied. I haven't paid yet but I'm about to give them $20k when it shows up. When you've planned and commited your hard earned money toward this big of an expense, you could say it is "spent".

I agree entirely... They have to own up to these kinds of things.

So don’t pay polaris then…….

Easy decision.

I just think you are working yourself up to be disappointed.

There’s less than 0.001% chance that Polaris is going to do what you want them too.

Take your stand, tell them why you aren’t buying the sled and move on. That’s your biggest “voice”.

After you leave the dealer will happily markup the sled 2-3 grand and sell it in hours….

That is not an option for me and many others and I'm sorry that you disagree. Many on here and elsewhere are on my side.

You're right that this may go nowhere, but I'll put the effort in anyway. I appreciate the input from everyone and definitely don't mean to get anyone worked up. This thread was originally to inform people and dig for confirmation and now that we know, the ones interested can push the issue. If you don't want to, that's fine too. ?

Sorry I’m a pessimist/ realist…..

They say a pessimist is just an optimist with experience ?

Getting left hanging by large corporations is definitely the Norm instead of the exception.

Good luck.

For sure. I've seen it before, too.

I'm still grateful that I'll be getting an awesome sled and hopefully soon enough too. I feel for those with later estimated ship dates

Well some of us made decisions based on the info provided by Polaris such as I sold my 21 Switchback already and don't have other options IMHO. I decided that wanted a factory Turbo, 7S W/ the hand warmers and wont take a lesser Ski-Doo power plant with less tech on it. Plain and simple after you had those hand warmers b4 you will have a hard time taking a step backward. I did my part and they didn't. I simply don't have other choices to cover what I need.
