Smart Warmers on 7S Mountain Sleds

Sounds like fake news to me, as both the manual and the quick start guide have instructions on how to use the hand warmer function on the 7S display.

I understand that as do the people I've talked to and have tried per manual/quick start procedure. The menu doesn't come up for them. Maybe it's an isolated issue with only some displays?

I was looking at a '22 Khaos Matryx on the dealer floor and wondering why it had a high/low rocker switch for the hand warmers. I'd say the infinite warmers are NOT on the 22 mountain sleds which is a bummer. I wonder if that is a change because of chip shortages/supply chain issues? Dealer had a huge sign saying 'stay off' I'm assuming it was a customer's sled that they had on display!

I'd be mighty surprised if they had two different chipsets for the 7S or EPEM, one with warmer controls, and one without, but I routinely lose money at craps. More likely they would have to disable it via firmware due to conflicts with the rocker switch, which they only have with the Pro Taper bars, now. If it's disabled. Since trail sleds all come with the same handlebar control pod, regardless of display, and they have to be able to work with the same pod, there's a chance we're overthinking, and it's a non-issue. PITA with the rocker has been the single circuit for the thumb warmer.

It looks to me like they pulled the plug on smart warmers for the RMKs.

I don't believe the PWM driver for the smart warmers (the "chipset") resides in the 7S. On the trail sleds I'm pretty sure it's in the switch module mounted on left side handlebar, which RMKs obviously don't have. The 7S is just were you make the setting adjustments for the warmers, something the trail manual shows is possible with the standard gauge as well.

For the RMKs I expected we'd see a new module mounted somewhere under the hood, in place of the left hand switch module found on the trail sleds. But that doesn't appear to exist on any of the parts diagrams, and certainly doesn't exist on my new RMK. I also expect it would utilize a new momentary switch in place of the old rocker switch.

Interestingly, the 3d model on Polaris's build tool shows new switches. Were they intending to do this but couldn't deliver? Maybe we'll see smart warmers on mountain sleds next year.

^^^ agree. Those that ordered the enhanced display, should get what was marketed for the SC’s. This would be a huge let down on Poo’s end. They should be able to add it, for free, at a later date. It’s almost like you ordered a turbo, but hey, sorry we didn’t have any turbo’s left so here is your NA sled …… sorry

I will be disappointed as well but as long as the warmers actually work when it's cold, I will be happy. My 17 would not keep up even with foam in the bars and I ended up buying heated gloves for the ride in/ out.
