Slp torque arm and push arm a must ?????

Just bought a 05 159 said had all updates but he was miss informed by dealer or they ripped him off unless the torque arms were not a update done by dealer anyway Is there anything new out there that I should be looking into or just go with the slp torque and push arm also should i be waiting to ride untill I get this done

The motor was just redone last year still on breakin with 06 pistons crank slp air box pipe and can I would imagine they put in the 06 motor mounts

not necasarily a MUST, but they are extremelly important. belt life and motor mount life is really shortend if not running the torque arms. you can ride it without them, but i would get them installed soon. unless of course you like replacing belts and motor mounts all the time.

Ok sweet was a tad worried there what about the compusion mounts are they a must in the off season when dont want to be down in pow season but i have read that they are not recomended with the torque arms :canada:

Stock mounts with torque arm and stop is the perfect combination IMO.

Compfusion mounts are very stiff, if you use those AND torque arm and stop, you will have way too much rigidity. You will vibrate like crazy.

There are alot of different opinions regarding this issue and combination. Do a search, read all the info provided and you'll have to make that decision yourself. :)

Well, it really depends on who you ask. Indy Dan will tell you that if you install the 06 mounts you don't need the SLP set up because it's too ridgid. All I know is that I ran the 05 mounts with no SLP set up for almost 1900 miles with no problems or even bad mounts. I did go ahead and replace the mounts with 06 mounts when updating the engine with 06 pistons. I sent my clutch to Indy Dan for his balance job and asked about the SLP set up then. I still do not have the SLP set up and won't use it per Indy Dan's advice.

Don't think so. I have compfusions and I took torque arm off. I have never broke a belt since the 1115 belt came out. Been running same belt for three years.

Thanks for all the great info guys toook the tractor out today man she pulls my two buddies ride 06 and 07 xp 800s and they they took it for a pull up the hill they both were pretty impressed helmet cam is in the mail will have some vid soon enough

SLP torque arm set can help with belt wear but make sure you alighn clutches and let seconday float a bit. Worked extremely well on stock 05 mounts with 080 belts lasting @300/400 miles before "rotating" The "900" belt (112?) two seasons at least!
A great investment,,imo
