SLP stage III....nice!

Warranty?

I have been considering the PA Racing or SLP Stage 3 kit, does installing either of these Stage 3 kits void the factory Polaris warranty?

I would think they both do. No direct experience with Polaris and warranty but modding the Pro engine scares me.

i put on a pa head and slp single. started out with the slp pipe. put it on and had to add two grams to the primary and was pulling higher and more constant rpm. added the pa head and have gone back and forth on added more weight. personally, maybe since i added first, but i noticed a larger gain with the pipe over the head. as far as mapping goes, the slp maps are WAY safe. i pulled the pcV and bumped my octane to make sure i didn't det, and my wash is significantly improved. it is where it should be now. but there is a higher chance of detonating running leaner so you have to decide which works better for you, bumping the octane every tank or running the motor rich. i am going to try the autotune with pump gas and see what kind of map it develops. we'll see what happens with the det too.

I had my first ride on my PRO Assault with SLP stage using an 12.5 PAR head today, and what a difference from the stage 2.

So far im very satisfied.

And when it comes to fueling, my sparkplugs instantly went from charcoal black to light chocolate brown after changing the head and the stage 3 map. I am not going to run it any leaner! (I ride at sealevel)

So you are running the stage 3 map with the SLP pipe and PAR head?

hey winter brew

I'm in wa as well and run mostly from 2000' to 6000'. running 68 mtx w/ 3g in inner and outer. just wondering what and how your loading yours up? thanks, randy

Are you running the Stage 3 kit from SLP?

I changed from 71g mtx with 2g rivets in both holes(stage 2 setup) to 3g in the inner hole and 2g in the outer running the PA head and the other SLP components.

When running in heavy spring snow today I was constantly hitting 8250-8300RPM. SInce I should be at max 8100 I think I will have to run 3G in both holes. I ride from 300-2000ft.

Anyone else running this setup at low alt?

I thought PAR suggested to use the pcv mapping for the SLP stage 2 kit not the mapping for the stage 3?

I have not heard anything about that. Anyway, I will not run the much leaner stage 2 map with this setup. Seems like the fuel supplied with the stage 3 map is much needed.

But, if anyone is riding the stage 2 map all input is appreciated.

Sounds about right on the weights. I am running a PA 12.5-1 head at 0-3000' with an otherwise stock motor. I am runing 71g mtx's also and mine are loaded 3 in the middle and 1g in the tip. With the extra hp you make over me, that sounds right. I run a dead even 8100 all the time.

Ill have to try running 3g in both holes and I look forward to do so. Sled pulled very hard down low and in the middle range...but I could feel it lost power on top.

But when I get the top RPM set right this should pull like a freight train!
