SLP stage III....nice!

I know this is an invitation to get flamed but I have had a lot of Poo sleds and bought a lot of SLP stuff and honestly, at the end of the day I chalk their bolt on stuff (and others) up to good marketing and smoke and mirrors. 14+ TRUE horsepower from reeds, heads and a silver pipe? Ain't buyin' it.

No offense intended.....just can't see how you can pull that much 'real' hp from a motor with no change to fuel mapping.

ALSO, why is it always the same **** being offered in these motor packages? IMO, I would think a truly innovative and 'products by trial' company would look at each motor package separately, find the deficiencies and then offer performance upgrades based on these weaknesses.

I'm all ears/eyes if someone cares to entighten me.....with facts, not opinions.

What is the expected track speed for a stock 155 pro? My buddy's is 41-42 max, my M8 is 46-50mph and I easily climb 50-100 ft higher. Should his stock pro have higher track speed?
I have the slp pipe on my sled and I can feel the difference over stock without any fuel mods. I have slp on my rmk too and I think their prodcts flat work!

Posting track speeds is too subjective. At what point in the climb are measuring? What was the snow type and density? How much does the rider weigh? What elevation? What was the temperature? The list can go on and on. The best way to measure track speed gain is to compare to a baseline machine on the same hill, same day, same rider, make changes and compare again. It's a hassle to change stuff on the hill or in the trailer but it's about the most accurate way I have found to see what works and what doesn't.

I think you may want to check out the SLP offerings again, as you seem to have missed the fact that the stage 2, 3, and 4 kits all come with a Power Commander fuel controller with SLP map.

Fact is Im all around faster and able to climb higher then stock Pros. I also had to ADD more weight and FUEL. Not bad from a ceramic pipe, head, and powercommander.

Yes, this setup comes with a PC5 and the SLP program adds fuel, mostly in midrange.
Bases on the various mods ive done in the past, 14hp doesnt seem unreasonable. A 350+ rpm gain and having to drop 30 lbs on the primary spring is more proof of a power gain than any dyno sheet as dynos can be manipulated as needed to get the desired numbers for advertising graphs.

What makes the v-force fall apart on the pro`s? I have never been told from the dealer or slp that the v-force is going to fall apart after some miles.

You can't start a conversation with your opinion and then ask for facts from the other person.

The only time I have had a problem with a sled with SLP product on it, ended up being the stock wiring harness. Dustin spent a lot of phone time and emails helping me to diagnose the problem.(fact). SLP is one of the few companies that gives you the complete package set up. As long as you don't deviate from that set up, our sled will run great.

i think the problem with W-force on a cfi sled, is that is no fuel ,to cool them, carburator and cat efi has fuel to cool them, just my though,

Sounds to me like the best put it together your self package is:

Pa head, slp pipe / can, slp spring recommendation, mtx weights, pc-v with slp map? Basically the stage 3 but with pa head and skip the reeds.

What do you guys think?

I went with the stage III less reeds. Not sure what the difference in magic is between the three aftermarket higher compression heads. I do like one stop shopping though.

You are probably right, I bet not much diff in the heads, I have had good luck with rkt heads too.

I put stage 3 kit on my 2012 and absolutely love it!! Right now I'm sitting at 800 miles, only issue I have had is the v-force reeds started falling apart around 600 miles, just put the stock ones back in so I don't have to worry about it. For worry free, bolt on and ride performance SLP is a great choice.
My 2 cents....

Was there any noticable difference with the reed change? Midrange snap or ???

X2 on that...i already have the clutching set up. Just wondering if i can do can/pipe and power commander airbox and been done. Not digging the reeds falling apart i have had good luck with vforce on motocross bikes but no exp on sleds.

Also anyone have any info on running it with PA head? am not sure if theres any difference in the heads out there but just a thought.
