Who has ran the SLP Stage 4 kit on their Pro. Tell me how you liked it or didnt like it. Did you really see the 20 hp gain? Thanks

The v-force reeds will only last 300 miles till they start to fall apart. Stick with the stockers for durability and your good to go!

The stage 4 is a huge gain, and very impressive as for the gain. I ran the 30% race fuel head. As for the 20 hp gain well who nows. I do know that there was no other stock or piped sled that would touch it. They may be out there but I have not came across one yet. But now thats the wifes sled, the 13 is on its way...

Double on the V-force reeds. Go with the Carbon tech, I have had great luck with them. They seen to last 3 times as long. But I have herd the different cages that the new V-Force have are suppose to help with there life.

Where these 11's or 12's that had the kit that ran so good? Also if anyone has had no luck with the kitbput dont want to say anything on the forum please pm me with what you experienced. thanks

The SLP stage 4 runs very good. The only changes that really need to be made are reductions in fueling, at least that has been our experience at sea level...the fuel maps provided were extremely rich and safe. I can't speak for the higher elevation mapping since I have not seen it. But I know of a few around here that run well that that setup.

I know of six stage 4 sleds that all run real hard, four of them are 2011 and the other two are 2012. With the stage 4 kit you will definitely void your engine warranty thats something to think about. Kits are real reliable no issues that I am aware of, this is the first I have heard of any trouble with the V-force reeds other than on the turbo sleds. I've got 1400 miles on a 2012 I guess I'm checkin my reeds tomorrow.

hey all good to hear about the stage 4 !
any of you ride with stage 3s is there a pretty noticable gain with the porting?(stage 4)
i ride with a guy who's 11 is stage 3
thanks

I got less than 500 miles on my V-force when running Stage III kit. All chipped up. My rings and pistons were already bad by the time I did the Stage III kit so I never saw any improvement. Ended up going back to stock completely and selling the kit to pay for the rebuild. Just my experience with it all and I don't believe it had anything to do with the SLP kit even though Polaris Industries said it did. That's a whole other story though.

Just run oil in your gas tank and you should be fine and make sure you do a new set of pistons and rings to start with.

Oh, BTW, I spoke with Moto Tassinari or whateve they are called and they said they had been having zero luck in coming up with a petal that would last in the Polaris 800 motor. That was earlier this year in February so they may have by now but it at that time, they were unsuccessful.

V-force has had the rep forever...Ive had nothing but problems with v-force, in the last 3 sleds ive ran them in.

I had stage 3 in a 2012 sb-assault. I also had junk v=force reeds after 250 mi.
I was impressed with the gain, very noticeable on the low/mid range. would easily walk all over 137 freeride 800e-tec which was clutched and Y pipe(bikeman) plus im 60lbs heavier!!!

I want to know the difference between stage 3 and 4 myself!

You may need to find someone who carries timing lights with them to give you an honest answer.

IMO your decision should be based on how much money you want to spend and if you like to continue spending it on race fuel supplement.

I'm buying a 600 sticker for mine to make me feel better at first.

I have a carls cycle (equivalent to stage 4 slp) dragon 800 with twin pipes, and a pro (equivalent to stage 4) single pipe.
I can tell you my twin piped dragon ran stronger and harder than a stage 3 pro and a stage 4 slp pro would run side by side with my twin piped dragon,
my pro from carls cycle is stronger on bottom and top than my dragon twin piped.
So to answer your question is it much better? YES!
if you got the $ its worth it! Call SLP or Chris at Carls Cycle.
Carls has all the different mods they sell on demo sleds tested against each other and can tell you exact differences on snow.
