SLP Stage 2

Mostly what ive heard is that all cans loose power when trying to "uprade" the 800. Does the SLP Pipe & Can set actually increase horsepower or not really worth it?

Maybe 2-3 hp gain. Advertised 7.6 hp gain but I doubt it. It is quiet tho not much louder than stock. Probably not worth it IMO. The only reason I did it was that my stock pipe insulation and cover was destroyed and I got the pipe can and Pcv all for 500 bucks.

I have a buddy that had the stage 3 kit and it never ran properly. Had an ocassional bog that we couldnt tune out. Not sure that the mapping supplied is correct. He ended up getting some motor work done and they installed a different map with his set up and it is way better.

We put the stage two on our 12 & 13 800, clutching including helix, balancing and machined primary from Carl's Cycle. Both sleds run very well! Seems to be the right combination, maybe the clutch work is the secret. It just flat works! This is the way it should come from Polaris, the throttle response is crisp with a noticeable power increase that pulls from bottom to top.:face-icon-small-coo I would do it again without hesitation!

I installed the SLP stage 2 kit last winter on my 2013 Pro and I am 100% happy with it. It does have a little custom clutching from Jkinzer on here. I agree with the post above that this is the way they should come from Polaris.

Wow I'm very surprised to hear a couple people having issues with their kits. I'm on my second season with my SLP Stage3 kit and love every second of it!! The power difference over stock is extremely noticeable and the power just seems soo much more crisp. I'd recommend this kit to anyone looking for a competitive running sled (compared to cat/doo) and also people that don't wanna piss people off with a loud obnoxious can (this one is quiet and sounds great).
