SLP single pipe or Powerclaw

I went with the track and like it so far. Only have 2 rides on it so far though. I have a SLP can on mine as well, gonna do the y pipe next.

if your going to do the y-pipe you will need a fuel controller, I would save up and get the rest of the pipe as well.
 
slp is the biggest waste of money!!! go with the track!! you will never get the sled to run right with a slp pipe you will have a million dollars in it trying to get it right and u would be chasing tail you cant catch! go with the track.
 
Get the track , it is SWEET! After that go with a BDX Diamond Drive lite , if you dont already have one.:beer;
 
Easy. Y pipe and new track. Just the Y pipe gives it a nice boost. I did not have to touch the fuel when I added the Y pipe. Heck, I have y pipe, intake, can and head and had my controller lose the ground wire and run lean all day...no burndown but I wouldn't recommend it.

You may have had problems and you do have to have half a clue on how to tune as it is a mod sled at that point, and may take some experience to make it work. If you buy the recommended kit (clutching, fuel controler ect..) you have everything you need to make it work.

Honestly I would say your a idiot to come on here and say that, without stating what was so bad.

I would like to know your problems and just how much you spent on what mods that you are so unhappy about, and would be more than happy to help you make it run, just don't tell me its junk when I have been kicking a$$ with it.

I can give you 10 + people right now that will tell you my slp m1000 kicked the pi$$ out of any non piped m1000. and ten slp m1000's that have beat any stock m1000 of the same year.
My buddie has a y and can on a 09 m1000 and weighs a good 50lbs lighter than me and can't go where my sled does. although I think in my case I can perfect the clutching, but the slp stuff does work.

And now with the Power commander its more plug and go than ever.
 
My dealer is telling me I can run the y pipe without a controller. Is he filling me full of it??

you can but you wont get the full potential. I ran my sled stock with egts
1260 at 6100 rpm
1157 at WOT no matter how long I held it down.

put slp y and can on (I forgot my bd box in WA and was in WY so I left the pipe off) I built a fuel pressure regulator and installed a F/P gauge. The egt temps where climbing into the high 1200 and pushing 1300 and I would let off. ( I hit 1300 with this pipe and gauges on my 07 and right at 1300 it seized) I had to bump the fuel pressure to 50psi to keep the temps down and the closer I got them to 1150 the harder it pulled. But with just a F/P regulator it makes the fuel map a little off at times but still worked pretty well. A buddie has a 09 m1000 with y and can no fuel controller and has never had a problem but he weighs a lot less too. So if it where me I would not send a sled out without a fuel controller or F/P regulator. on a 09 m1000 just the slp can works "great" and I wont run any more than that without egts and fuel devises.
 
Are you serious? Took me 3 rides to get mine dialed in last year and have not touched it since. Best mod I have done to mine.
