SLP single pipe or Powerclaw

I can do one of two things, put a slp single pipe setup on my 07 M1000 or a new Powerclaw track on it. From what i've been reading for awhile now is that new powerclaw track is pretty much the bomb, but in the long run is it going to make more of a difference than putting a single pipe setup on it? or should i do the track and a can and just ride the thing? Thanks

Do the track. Or put both of them on a credit card and pay 14.95 a month for the next 4 years;)

Keep in mind - you will spend 550+ on a SLP , AND , 300-400 on a fuel controller. Won't be able to do one without the other. Just a thoght if
you're funds are limited.

I was asking my self the same thing in December. I went with the PC. Just got it and have only rode once with the new track I feel like it is a big upgrade over the stock challenger. I need some pow to really test it, but I happy with my choice so far.

It came with a fuel controller so thats not really an issue but i think im leaning towards just the can and track, since i'm not made of money, maybe a y pipe too but don't know. I've never ridden one with the powerclaw, so i'm not really convinced.

I don't know if this interests you but All Sports Honda/ Arctic Cat in Grand Junction CO. has the 162's for 600$ I saw them yesterday. Let me know if you want there # I can find it around here some place. Might PM freeagent (she) and also mmsports on here.

I would go with the PC track. My dad's sled is the same as mine except he has the full SLP exhaust system. Mine is basically bone stock and his sled is just a bit snappier, not really impressed by the $500 exhaust not to mention timbersled intake he also has.

It realy depends on what sno you run on. If its only the fluffy loose sno, the PC is might the way to go. On a little harder sno the PC bends and doesent hook up as good after a season.

If not, buy a Y-pipe and a RKT clutch kit and you will get a much better performing sled. With this mods you dont need a $400,-fuel controll box.
The y-pipe gives you 10hp and the RKT clutch kit equals to 15-18bhp more in the engine.

contact "free agent"on here.

In UT the track will improve over all riding more than the pipe. the slp will get you farther in a drag race or in stiffer snow where the challenger can get traction it may go over faster but the pc will go over and farther. the side hilling and steep hill tree riding the pc is so much better its not even comparable, Keep in mind to get the full potential you need to do the 09 rear bumper. If you have any fab skill or know someone that does, build your own can, or go with slp so you'll have it later. Take off the stock y-pipe and where it is pinched as it comes together cut it out and section in round pipe, this will give you a little more power for very cheap. Its not hard to make a rear bumper either. what fuel controller do you have.

Go with the track hands down. Both are great add ons but the track is the one to do first, then pipe, then clutch and head. Good luck. I have an 07 1000 with all the above upgrades and it flat out rips.

its a Boss TFI fuel controller, i know its no boondockers or attitude but it works just fine, with the 09' updates done its all set back to zero and runs awsome. I'm just looking for a little more out of my sled cuz i can't leave my stuff alone without tinkering with it a little. whats your thoughts on just doing the y pipe and can, would that just require a little fuel adjustment if any?

Yep just got myn from there a week ago 600$

I would go with a Y-pipe can and the track if you can wing that!

I havn't rode any M1000's with the challenger track but I have spent a fair amount of time on the 2009 M1000's all of them had the single pipe setup on it and I think the pipe is a huge improvement over the stock pipe.

My vote is the pipe.

It is a huge improvement, but My stock 09 in technical riding would beat my 07 with slp single( and it beat many 08's with same setup and I was the heaviest rider.) the big difference is on the 07 when its time to turn out you had better get it done, the PC keeps going even if your crawling at 1 mph it will still keep going the 07 after you lost so much momentum your done. I have never been able to switch back up a hill until I got my 09, you side hill across and wip it back around, it almost comes to a complete stop then starts pulling again gaining speed as you go, tried many times on the 07 and always wound up stuck.
