SLP PCV for D8?

Ordered my PCV and MAP switch/harness today. I guess I will consider this an insurance policy for the lean mid-range. Will have to wait to next season to try it out though. Hard to believe that my sledding season ended on Feb 27/2010. Three strikes for El Nino:face-icon-small-fro:face-icon-small-fro

Glad to hear you have it ordered..hope it works out for you:face-icon-small-hap

Try both maps if you can to see which one works best for you under the conditions that you are riding. The accelerator pump feature on the SLP map really works well. I am running the 2010 flash and SLP can and the 66-44 .46 helix and three delrins 66gr. weights and it absolutely rips on my assault (8300 rpm). I switch on the go between both maps all the time to see which one works better at that time. A PC V is the best thing you can do for your 800 poo that is out there Bar None

I'm new to this whole PC-V thing coming from a turbo background. I bought a holdover spring snowcheck 2010 155. I've got 0 miles on it and have a SLP y-pipe, pipe and can installed with V-Force 3 reeds, geared to a 42 on the bottom and vented the hell out of the hood and side panels. I just got the PC-V but don't know who's tune to go with because the dealer told me that they never re-mapped the sled. So what flash is in there now? It looks like most guys are pretty consistant on the weights and helixs' so it should just be the map that's in question. Any help would be appreciated.

There were 2 main maps in 2010 from Polaris. The first is referred to as the 2010 update map that was done at the beginning of the season during the piston update to all the 08-09's and the other 2010 map is referred to as the Jan 2010 (1/15/10) map or the 2nd 2010 map.

Hope that doesn't confuse you. The best performance and runnability I found was with the first 2010 map loaded in the sled and the PCV loaded with SLP's map. It is spot on for 3,000-7,000 ft, vents, SLP pipe, can, high flow, etc.

SLP still rec's the first 2010 Polaris map be loaded into the sleds ECM for their map to work the best. It might be best to find out from your dealer which map is in your sled. I would not let them install the 2nd 2010 map though.

BTW, be careful with those v-force reeds. they will not live in the CFI. I would go back to stock.

new flash?

Is there a new flash out from polaris? Talked to my dealer service dept and they told me about a flash that came out a couple weeks ago. If so, do I let the flash my sled with it. (still under warranty)

The dealer said that they did not touch it. It was a spring snow check that showed up in Oct and the guy backed out on. So, what would it have on it or is it even possible to find out? Thanks for the heads up on the V-Force
