SLP MTX weights

I think when you order..get the blue/pink spring..and the green/pink...its cheap and if the sled feels sluggish down low the green/pink will fix it....and yes up that high..I would want a 40 helix..maybe even a 38..also..not a fan of the black/purple in the sec on the pro..seems to make more heat then the stocker..might try the stock spring first..also dont forget 2 delrins for the sec.....just what I would do...

What is your preferred secondary spring if you don't care for the stock Black/Purple?

so far i have had best results with the stock pro spring...on the dragons..the black/purple worked best....I just think once you hit about 6000 ft on the pro you need to pull some finish angle out of the helix..from 42 to 40 or even to 38 once you get up into the 8000+ range...the black/purple just runs quite a bit warmer then the stocker has...

On the helix is the only angle worth changing the finish angle? I see SLP has a dual helix with a 56/40/.36 and a 56/38/.36. Would that be a wise choice for 8,000+ ?

yes..I wouldnt mind seeing a bit more initial angle..but that isnt gonna be a deal killer..something like 60/40/36 and 58/38/36 would be pretty sweet I would think...

i was under the impression that the black/purple was the same as stock :face-icon-small-dis
what is the difference it #s
thanks

changing weights on the mountain is easy
you need a prying tool (big flat screw driver or some such)
and something to hold the clutch sheaves together
slp sells a piece of metal with hooked ends (like a wide U)
i made one from a scrap piece of round steel (easy)
plus the correct allen and wrench

if your talking about the rivet tool i've heard you can use it on the hill
but don't own one my self

the pro runs a softer sec spring stock(over I think 8000 ft polaris recommends the black/purple)...the black is 155/222(if I remember right),

I use about a 14" scredriver to open the primary, and a 1/2" deep ssnap-on chrome socket to wedge in between the movable sheive and the spider to hold it open while I change weights, and yes the slp rivit tool works fine out on the hill....
