Has anyone ran slp's mtx weights in the pro? Wondering if there is any advantage besides the fine tuning with the rivets. Thanks

i have them in mine, havent ran it yet though, but the pro likes "heel" heavy weights witch the MTXs are. Plus they are adjustable thats why i went with them vs the EPI weights, i wanted 1 set for the areas i ride.

So for those of you who have run the MTXs or clutching gurus...

I'll be running a stock '12 800 RMK Assault. I have blue/pink & green/pink primary springs, black/purple secondary spring, 71g MTX for flatland (ride 600-1500) and 68g MTX for altitude (ride 9000-11000), 2 delrins. This is all clutching stuff I have left over from previous sleds.

What I was thinking of doing was installing the blue/pink spring (maybe green/pink for slightly more agressive engagement), and 71g w/ 1g in belly for low altitude and using 68g w/ no rivets for high altitude. All the time running the black/purple w/ 1 delrin.

Do you guys think this setup will work? if not what setup would you recommend with these parts? I'm kinda thinking the 68g MTXs are gonna be too heavy for altitude... (68 MTX = 64 10 series right?)

I was planning on sending my primary to Indy Dan to get balanced and all anyway, so it'll get shimmed correctly for the weights.

I like that you can fine tune the amount of weight, but I don't like there narrow profile... just a lot harder on the clutch rollers.

I have had them pound out rollers before and jammed the clutch.

Do they fit or do you have to shim the spider like the cat clutches, I like them in my cat but the mds weights perform better, and you don't have to reshim the spider, also easy to add or remove weight. hate having to do it on the mtx's
