SLP Finally makes a pipe for stock XP

Does SLP make a head for the XP as well? Can it be used with the SLP pipe, can, and y-pipe? What kind of HP increases would that dyno, and what is the cost?

SLP does have the head---a 6000' head adds another 3 hp peak and 8hp mid---total increase with head and pipe is 8hp peak and 18hp mid---dont know the cost but can look it up today---they dont test the 8000'+ head at slp because they are at around 5500' and it would not give true readings and would require race fuel at that low altitude---

SLP head is $350.00

SLP is right next to me and there HP gains are for higher altitude not sea level. Most of the testing they do is 8K and above. Heck you don't even unload at less than 5500ft around here and that's just to start. I would be willing to bet that the pipe works great at 10K. Are you going to see the same gains at that altitude, probably not but it will still work good.

I spoke with, Adam at SLP, he told me their HP gains, as well as everyone elses are factered back too sea level from the dyno test elevation where taken, just what i was told -- Ken

You know I'm not trying to start anything, but i sit here and read this and those numbers are very very high. Almost to the point of not being able to believe it. Im curious if they would let their customers have a 'Money Back Gaurantee' to really see how well these work. Hey maybe they are good products, but i would like to see how this will go over.

the gains are so high it's tempting to get one. i would like to hear how they work before i buy.

we have used SLP pipes on cat-and-polaris for7years and never seen anything but great results:D:D---you sit back and watch--mine is here waiting the 09-x:eek::D

So here is my question for the crowd........

As can be seen in the SLP catalog, the graph showing the HP gains VS the stock pipe show that the new pipe gains the highest HP from 8200 RPM's to 8400 RPM's then tails off to only have a few more HP at 8500 RPM's than the stock pipe. It appears at 8200 RPM's it is nearly 8HP above the stock pipe. Does this mean that we need to tune our sleds for 82-8300 RPM's to get the most gain? Or is it just a bad graph?

Help me out Mr. T/A....

I am not going to be real pleased with my purchase if I only get around 2-3 HP gain.

Have you installed yours yet? Read a link on a nightmare install. Would like to hear how the install goes and some pics would be helpful. Still trying to sell my 06 then I'll be buying a set.
