Slightly Dissapointed

If someone wants a more stable sled - this is definetly not it. If you want a sled you can ride like a 2 stroke snowboard - this is it. The more you push it, the more it's attributes come to the surface. For those that ride less aggressively, or just like to highmark all day...maybe it's not as impressive? I'm not sure. Sounds like that one mentioned above isn't performing 100% power wise, but who knows.

But if you like goofing around, downhill pow turns, jibbing off stuff, sidehills, and breaking nasty trails through the trees...once you figure out how little input this sled needs - you won't want to ride anything else. So. Much. Fun.

Yup its pretty much amazing difference, came off a 14 pro, 12 pro before that, biggest Issue I had was re learning the amount of input you need vs the pro, probably 1/3 or so. Also where the thing would go at a slower speed that the pro will, ie a tight line uphill, on the pro you sometimes really have to keep on the flipper, but on the axys you can do it much better with less power input and get a smoother line. I'm a big guy 6'7" 290 and the axys really works amazingly better in the not gettin stuck department, it will pretty much just keep going along as long as you keep the throttle on and point it where you want to go. Just all in all a much nice sled to ride in the tight stuff and for me that works better, It is for sure more "tippy" but thats good :face-icon-small-hap

not sure if the axys is properly set up or not, I know the guy just changed the clutch weights recently after me and the pro smoked him in a drag race, but haven't seen it run yet. I do agree with the little time I've spent on the axys its geared more for more aggressive riders, which this guy is not but he's the type that has to have the latest and greatest. I spent 8 years on an M-series which I think handles similar to the pro which is probably why I prefered the pro over the axys after a short test ride.

My 15 Pro with clutching and gearing performs nearly as well as my 16 AXYS but is not as much fun. The 15 also feels heavier and runs fatter down low. The 16 is out of control in it's out of the box configuration. The 15 stays flat and the 16 would wheelie and trench worse. I have the suspension set up now and love it.
Seat of the pants the 16 feels way stronger but racing up steep inclines they are not far apart.
