sledding on city streets

I live in a town of about 150,000 people. Couple years ago we had two 2ft storms in the matter of a week. Took the sleds out and was riding down a main drag of Fort Collins CO at 75mph (Horsetooth/Shields). Roads were not plowed yet cause it was still snowing. Pulled up to a cop at a red light and gave him the head nod. He didn't even look over at me. Light turned green and I dusted him. Good times :beer;

That's awesome.

I heard some guys went bar hopping in downtown Minneapolis when the Halloween storm of 97 hit.

I've learned my lesson on that one. Make sure you have a trailer waiting, else they will follow your tracks back to your house. Kinda hard to dispute it when your sled is sitting right there.

the cops here followed my tracks for 2 miles in town thinking someone stole a sled. knocked on the door and asked if i had a sled. ya ya. is it stolen? no its in the garage. o we thought someone stole it cause of the tracks.

theres a trail going from my garage, down the road and out of town and its backed and they think someone stole it. i had a good laugh.

and its illegal in this town to do that but they said nothing

Yeah I was living their at the time. Hasn't been snow like that since.
And I think I screwed up the years...wasn't the Halloween storm in 91'?
The 97' storm was in Jan. wasn't it?

Had a good snow here 2 years ago that covered town, size about 50k.

Was on my way back into town following my dad, sneaking back on a side street that was going up a good sized hill. Right at the base is a 5-0. He watches my dad cruise by, see him try and flip around in the fresh snow, spinning wheels and all, he's in a hurry to catch me who just passed him as he sits sideways. Way to many ruts in the roads to see tracks of any kind, no lights, so pinned it to the top and pulled in the garage and closed the door. Made for a great laugh!

We have always rode on the city streets if I ever got pulled over I always just said I was going to gas, if I had just passed a gas station, I would let them know that I can't run ethanaol and I had to go to a different station.

fun times indeed! I wish I had some stories too, but I think they might impound my sled for a month if I got caught around here.

do any of you guys have helmet cams?;););)
