I pretty much agree with everything mafesto is telling you. Marginal in the best conditions, trouble in the worst conditions...icy roads...wind, etc. Not sure what kind of trlr your thinking about towing but you might want to think about trading into something like a FLOE if you want both a sled deck and trailer. Floes are very light weight and already have a 5'+ tongue. Just a thought?
Had a buddy try an extend-a-hitch with the chains triangle setup to tow a horse trlr with a 10' camper on a dodge 1ton with air bags. Got it all set up, drove it about a mile...first and last time...then never again.
