Sled & Ski in Utah...Where to stay?

I'm trying to plan a month stay in Utah to sled & ski and would appreciate some advice....I would prefer to stay near the Snowbird/Alta area for the skiing....is there good accessible sledding near there?....am I able to get the best of both within a 30 minute drive for either one?....the sledding part of the trip is slightly more important

And I'll be rollin solo so if anyone needs a riding partner let me know.

Alta/snowbird is up little cottonwood canyon. No sled access there. You can ride sleds from Big Cottonwood canyon. (Guardsman Pass) Good stuff up there and you can access the terrain behind Brighton and Atla. You can also drive about 45 minutes south of Alta and ride AF canyon and access the same stuff as Guardsman plus a lot more. Park City/Heber would be another great option with more options and less drive times to Sled and Ski.

Bossrev....thanks for the info....between Park City / Heber which one would you recommend if I'm looking for more of a mountain feel?

If I cant hook up with someone to ride is there a guide in the area you can recommend?

Park city you can stay right on the mountain. You have your choice of deer valley, park city or the canyon resorts... If you stay at deer valley you can also access Guardsman pass to ride sleds. Heber is a valley surround by mountains in every direction. 6 or more spots to unload a sled with in a 15 to 40 minute drive. And only about 20 minutes from park city. If you need a sled rental contact mtnpull here on the forums. finding a person to ride with won't be hard, plenty of peeps in the area to hook up with.
