How much to go to Whistler, Revy or even Cook City?

WOW!

Seattle - Kachess - 45 minutes = 84 MPH

I need 2B "sponshured" by U just to pay my speeding tickets!

That sounds about right for the speed everyone drives over the pass. I had to be at Sea Tach early a while back so it was about 0530 when I crossed the summit. I was going 70 and there were 4 or is it 5 lanes full of cars...and trucks...side by side going around me like I was standing still.

16 people can sleep in beds and there are a bunch of areo beds.

It looks like a beautiful place.

With a group of about 10 people or so It does become much more affordable.
Do the trails connect with the Gold Creek side? (State Park area of Kachess)
That's where you'll get the most interest by sledders.

The other side of the lake is very limited riding.

This would be sweet for a group. Price is not terrible if you have a group--but justa couple people--hang on spendy.

But you better watch the snow levels if it is a standard year--And depending on where the lodge is located. The roads will be nicely covered in snow in the morning and you head out--then the plow comes through and scrapes the road bare and you are hosed.

H20SKE...

Lodge is backed up to Forest Service Road

There is a trail on the property that connects to the forest service road. No need to ride on streets. That FS road (4934) connects to gold creek or Kachess loop.

I know last year was exceptional, but we could still ride from the garage in june!

Its about 8 miles to the mircowave tower by forest service road. winter 2008 059.jpg

How is the parking area?
I've rented quite a few cabins over towards Fish Lake by phone after seeing pictures on-line only to find out the parking was WAY inadequate fo a few rigs with big trailers.
Kind of turned into a nightmare.

Room to turn larger trailers around easily?
Do you plow your parking area?

So far I'm not seeing any down sides to your cabin as long as we have a group of ten or more!

More pictures please!

I agree, we rent a couple times a year over there take all the kids, 3 or 4 vehicles and trailers gets kinda hairy until you can find a place you know.

What is the elevation?

There's plenty oh room for 4 couples and up to 3 or 4 single types, or couples who don't want to sleep together. 2 nights 120 buck a peice that's not bad.

For a whole week, you could get 6 people for about 700 for the week, and 8 for 500 for the week. Could probably mix and match the week by splitting it up also. All kinds of possibilites.

Still can't picture where it's at though.

Plenty of trailer parking!

There is 16 acres on the property, 6 of it is flat and right off Kachess Lake road.(2 miles off I-90) We have a snow cat and snowblower to keep the trailer parking area clear.(can pull 3- 4 place trailers in any time & 12 vehicles) and can make more room if needed.

Location of lodge

The lodge is 8 mile east of Snoqualime summit off I-90, exit #62 (lake kachess/stampede pass exit) Head 2 miles north off freeway.

The elevation is 2,500 feet. When the weather report says snow level at 3,000 feet, we get snow? We are basically the same elevation as stampede pass snowpark.

Very nice lodge! My fam have rented similar lodges in the neighbor hood ... nice to be able to sled from the lodge!
