Sled broke down at Guardsman

My throttle cable snapped at Guardsman, and all my friends sleds are junk and can't give me a tow out. Anyone think they can help me out this weekend? Will compensate with some beers. It's not to far back there, not sure any of the names but before the back bowls/peaks.

I broke a chain case back on Clayton's Peak, had to put a plastic sled under the track and towed it all the way back to P.C. side of Gaurdsman's once. Took all day but we got her. I think i met Sledgimp for the first time that day. Weather for this weekend isnt pretty, but i have been in worse upthere. Sat im busy but Sunday i might be avaliable, but i have no-way to get my sled to guardsmens... so i would need help with that. Anyone else up for a rescue mission on sunday? Is there a way we could use some needle nose pliers to pull on the cable...? Rode my motorcycle home for 20miles with the throttle cable wrapped around my finger once, that was fun, but i made it home ok.

JMO but a throttle cable could be replaced in the field. Go buy one, get your buddies to take you to it and install.
The plastic sled is a good idea also, get it out before this next storm rolls in.

X2 on replacing the throttle.... Then you can ride the rest of the day..:face-icon-small-coo

Not knocking anyone for doing it, but you should never wrap the throttle cable around a finger unless you are willing to possibly live without your finger. I don't have a picture of it but my cousin lost his finger on a snowmobile with a broken throtle cable. Just food for thought...:face-icon-small-coo

Good luck on the rescue. I would do as stated above also and just swap the cables in the field and ride er out.

Ok, so Mike told me he cant find a cable in the valley right now. So i think we are gonna go this Sunday if anyone wants to come help. I suspect this wont take very long to get out, but the more that help out the easier it would be. By Sunday there should be 20" of fresh snow to play in. So tell the hunny that your going to help out a fellow stranded sledder and then come play in the fresh pow pow instead of going to church and wishing you were ridding your sled.
