Dumb question, but I might be buying a second sled and my first polaris. Looking at the ones in stock locally what is the "SC" on some of them?

Least from the ones i'm looking at it only shows up on the Boosts or the 9R's. But I really have no idea. Ski-Doo guy here dunno what I'm looking at but the in season/left over ski-do's I don't want lol.

I'm sure that someone will come along and explain it better than me but...

SC stands for Snow Check meaning it has some extra features available on a snowcheck such as painted tunnels and better shock packages etc. possibly. Polaris usually offers certain upgrades as standard on Snow Checks to encourage people to Snow Check their sleds vs. waiting to purchase after they hit the dealers showroom floor.

i believe all slash’s were snow checks. did they actually ever offer that as in season?

that said, yes sc is snow check. so longer warranty(not that it matters as much after poo killed the 4 year). maybe better shocks and colors.

Only if delivery is taken by the original snow checker within the allowed window of time.

If you pick up a leftover snow check that someone backed out of, it comes with one year of warranty (like all new Polaris sleds) and then you have to purchase anything extended (lots of negotiating can be done here... dealers make good margin selling extended warranties).

SC also typically means some features are likely included that may not be available on in-season inventory, like special colors, velocity shocks (adjustable compression clickers) etc.

The ones I'm looking at have 2 year warranty painted tunnels, velocity shocks. some say SC some don''t...so I don't know lol. Could just be the dealers website descriptions are dumb?

Bought one. 2025 Kaos Slash 155 SC, velocity shocks, 7s, estart. My first poo... will try it out tomorrow. Waiting on parts for my smashed up lynx ( Pipe mostly ) So bought a backup sled lol.

Yea I just bought one it had 1 year. I paid extra for 2.. but got a belt and oil thrown in. Didn't really get any sort of a deal, but at least I have a functional sled and can ride again lol.
