Skinz Hood Questions?

Ok so im gonna order a skinz lightweight hood for my m8... But before i do ive got some questions...

1. Does your wiring harness run through the hood or do you have to re-route it?

2. It says the hood has a spot of the stock guage. Is that the Sno-Pro guage or the standard one?

3. And finally what do you do with your airbox? Do you need a after market one or can you just let your stock one be there and hope that it pulls in enough air?

Thanks in advance for any info. :D

1. I ran my wiring up the inside of the hood and zip-tied it to the aluminum frame.

2. The hood has a flat medal spot(where a gauge would normaly sit) where you can drill holes and mount a gauge, you must drill holes and figure a way out to mount it yourself.

3. Not sure what you'd do with a stock airbox and the airhorn sticking up. You could use a mod air box or, put some kinda prefilter material over your stock airhorn and give that a shot?

I have one and it works good.
You can use the stock hinge and rubber hold downs.
I ran the harness inside like the stock hood.
It comes with a mesh cone that covers the air box intake, but it restricts the air flow. I would get the Black Diamond intake or build one.
You can mount a light and your tach on the hood
You can plug the wires from the light into the stock plug.
The removable side flaps make the perfect place to put extra gloves and goggles
I like this hood because the cover comes off and the frame can be repaired.
I get no snow in the nose of my sled.
Over all this is a good hood.

We just installed a Skinz hood complete with Cyclops lights and stock gauge pod on a M6. I'll try and get some pictures posted up tonight after work. The only thing we missed was hand guards, which after a couple of rides really showed up with some frozen fingers.
Like mentioned before we tie wrapped the wiring harness to the underside of the frame. There are two brackets for mounting the gauge pod and after market lights.

Wiring harness you zip tie to the frame.

The gauge package bolts to the flat plate and it doesn't matter what gauge package you have.

The kit comes an air box replacement.

Let us know if you want to order one.
