skidoo going crazy

First of all I have a 12 pro rmk in the garage as well as a 12 m1100turbo, and have owned skidoos and a yamaha even.

Both are good sleds. I don't think you can exactly say that the 1100turbo was a bad deal for cat. It has some issues but really none related to the power. The reverse has issues. . . Shame on arctic cat. And a couple lose nuts recalled. As far as the sled in the powder. It works. It has cummins like torque. They will only be able to improve on this sled with lighter parts and easy hp to be had for a "HO" version. I predict that they cut 15lbs for 2013 on this.

The Pro Rmk is undoubtly a great machine! And polaris looks to have done a good job refining it for 2013. Hopefully they offer the 900 rzr motor in it with a turbo. Cat sold at least 6000 4 strokes this year. Why would polaris not want a pc of that pie.

Doo could make some easy changes to the XP to make it more mountain specific. Vertical steering is #1. Anyone who says that they are underpowered has not ridden one. Doo can benefit from a lightweight 4 stroke turbo. Cat sold at least 6000 4 strokes this year. Why would doo not want a pc of that pie.

I now ride a Pro. Came from an 05 Rev. Polaris finally built a sled to compete with an 05 Rev.

Loved the Rev. Hated the XP. Love the Pro. 05 Rev = 11 Pro.

It only took 6 years for Polaris to catch up. Doo went backwards with the XP. Except for the E-Tech engine. Love that.

E-Tech in a Rev or Pro.

D

People who say the 05 REV is the same as the Pro has more than likely ever looked past the plastic panels on either sled or has ridden a Pro. The Rev was a great machine. And I too like it bette than the XP (at least the earlier summits). I would rather boondock an IQ over a rev or an XP.

i agree. never liked how the rev handled. the iq was easier to ride than the rev. but my doo buddies never would believe me, even after they would over ride my polaris and end up laying on their side. "it just doesn't feel right..." (ummmm, b/c you are over riding the sled. it isn't a doo)

Then why does my "under powered" pro do circles around etecs all day long?

You must be waiting for the Skidoo to make a trail for you to follow.

Polaris is sure pushing the mountain segment. Now since I am such a cheap bugger and refuse to buy a new sled, would someone please wreck a Pro and sell it to me cheap.

Chances are anyone who riding a Pro doesnt really give a rats about highmarking, its takes no skill, and more horse power is all thats needed to go higher than the next guy. Its all about tight tree riding and taking harder more technical line than the other guy, it actually takes skill, and a real sled.

ski-doo

ski-doo has never been ahead in the mountain segment. Arctic Cat destroyed everyone in the mountain segment for many years with the M series, now Polaris has taken over with the RMK PRO. i would jump on a Proclimb before a Ski-Doo. they are not a purpose built mountain sled the XP is a long tracked trail sled to say the least they are pathetic. Ski-Doo ties in with Yahmaha they both don't belong in they mountains.

so your saying taking a steep line threw the trees takes no skill, or a line where its so steep you need on off throttle control, or a line that can only go up so high and needs to be sidehilled the rest...give it a try once and see, thats where skill first starts, doing sh!t hooks and wheeling is childs play

when it comes to highmarking..

doo.#1
cat #2
poo #3
nothing wrong with 3rd place.

Wrong... Nothing can touch a Turbo Yammi when it comes to point and shoot.

Now I'll jump on my lowmarking Pro and you can try to follow me up this other line to the top. Yes, I'm heading through those dreaded trees, down into that hellhole, back up into the trees, and then we're gonna sidehill across up to the peak. Or you can just point your wallet straight up I guess if you choose to. I'm here to ride :car:

barry would of destroyed all three of them by a margin, his runs that well, and yes sun everyday out of four riding days last trip, best trip in a while

ps, how did you send the heims, nothing came yet

it was on the list of post outside your section. who cares there are posts i the ski doo section that are mostly polaris guys I check out what everyone has I like sledding I like my sled and that is all that matters if you want to talk smack lets go ride I bet I have the same amount of fun as you and I bet I can out drink you in the parking lot after talking about how good the day was. That is what sleding is to me fun.

And then the drunk drive home? Hows that part?

You can't read ? Those ill-handling, water buffalo XP's do climb great in a straight line up a wide open hill, but take much, much more effort than a Pro when climbing in technical situations. I have stated in numerous posts that I really like the etec engine, yet your brand loyal stupidity won't let you admit that the Pro is a far superior mountain chassis. If you're an aggressive, strong XP rider, you will likely get as high as an average rider on a Pro in a highly technical climb, but you will exert at least twice the effort. Normally, I'd offer the advice to work smarter, not harder, but I really don't think you're capable of doing that.

I doo have to say your line about the colour of short buses cracks me up.
