I have rode a couple poos all of them under powered and the other enjoyed the snow off my track as I pulled them from the woods.

yup, i completely agree with all the ski-doo guys, in the ski-doo section, arguing over how much of a waste of money and how stupid the polaris marketing scheme is...

Underpowered, compared to what, an XP that loses its power advantage through inferior clutching? I don't think so. I have to admit though, of all the sleds that I have pulled on a rope, only 2 have been Ski Doos. One was totalled by a tree, and the other one was a modded sled and it burned down.
Funny how brand loyalty stirs people up. Yamaha's announcement was sure a big yawner. If they were trying to steal any spotlight from Polaris they sure missed. Wonder when Polaris will build a true 4 stroke mountain sled? Sounds like Cat's fell on it's face this year. 19,000 sleds recalled - ouch! All kinds of problems sounds like. I'm riding with a bunch of Cat guys on the 25th - there ought to be some interesting conversation around the beers that night! Looking forward to tomorrow! Yay!
If Polaris comes out with a turbo'd 4-S mountain sled I would seriously consider jumping ship, the wifes RMK 600 HO is an impressive sled and I really like the handling of it and the Pro....
it was on the list of post outside your section. who cares there are posts i the ski doo section that are mostly polaris guys I check out what everyone has I like sledding I like my sled and that is all that matters if you want to talk smack lets go ride I bet I have the same amount of fun as you and I bet I can out drink you in the parking lot after talking about how good the day was. It's all in good fun! As long as it keeps pushing the envelope of we want a sled to be, kudos to poo for having the balls to go for it! I've been to 3 Polaris focus groups this year...guys, you have seen nothing yet. They are dead serious about taking back and staying #1....and yes, I was a skidoo guy since '96...just step over the fence and see is all I ask and keep an open mind.
Yeah the boys over on Dootalk are pretty upset... that was an awesome site with awesome people! ...until I switched to polaris, now everytime I post I get attacked by a bunch of arrogant aholes. Unbelievable. I've lost almost all respect for some of the members of that site.

dude, settle. it's not really that big of a deal. i was simply playing along with the pot stirring and to your obvious jab at polaris in the polaris section. it is all good and i agree, we are all love to ride sleds regardless of which brand we own. when it comes down to it, after all the hype as settled down, there really isn't a bad sled made anymore. i've rode them all and i even really l like the new cat. and doo has made great gains in their xp chassis which i hated the way it handled in years past. the iq was a much superior handling chassis than the early year xp's were. i too love to see what everyone is coming out with and am looking forward to see what changes doo comes up with. look at my other post in the doo section. i think it is hard to say they are not fair. you might not like everything i say, just as some on the polaris side don't, but you can't say it isn't fair. unless, of course i'm trying to to stir the pot...
and i ride with people that ride every brand and yes, we all have just as good of a time as each other. i wll let you win the beer drinking though, i'm too old and my kids get up before six am every day regardless of when i went to bed or how hung over i am!

I still get up at 4:45 after drinking beer lol I just ribed you in the Ski doo section. that is all sleding is to me fun I don't care what you ride. I was just saying something because what kind of idiot starts a thread in poo about doo. Unless you think when they release there sled it will be much better then... lol

The totally yamaha guys gave me a good send off when I sold my Mountain Max for a pro
I've been a Yamaha and Polaris guy for almost my entire life, mostly Yamaha.
But I gotta say the totally yamaha guys seem to be the most neutral when someone wants to jump ship. Bunch of grown men who aren't haters.
Several of those guys were actually looking into Pro's also
Polaris just has it right now, in a few years someone else will be on top.
Best thing about this new movement is that Polaris is pushing production sleds forward in a big way and the other companies must follow suit. Which will mean some major improvements in the industry, soon.

I now ride a Pro. Came from an 05 Rev. Polaris finally built a sled to compete with an 05 Rev.
Loved the Rev. Hated the XP. Love the Pro. 05 Rev = 11 Pro.
It only took 6 years for Polaris to catch up. Doo went backwards with the XP. Except for the E-Tech engine. Love that.
