Ski opinions for the Pro

Thanks for all the input guys! Amazingly, I have never heard of Mods, or Curve Skis before this. Keep it coming with the input.

That’s good advice but I feel this issue is still subjective. You say that Simmons were "almost a must on an Edge". I had Simmons on an edge and preferred Grippers. Riding style and conditions also factor in IMHO

Absolutely! Timeframe of the Simmons on the edge and ZX chassis sleds was before the grippers came out which was 2007. I wouldn't own a set for the newer sleds. I agree with Bob.

Not to mention, I've seen more guys go flying over the bar's or dislocate shoulder's when loading the sleds with Simmons. They're not used to those dual carbides grabbing the ramp, don't pop the throttle enough and pull up and instead, come to a screeching halt.

Not offen you get skis that grow in width for no extra charge. Sounds like a win win.
Im going to try a set this year.

The side wings are thin and bend out as season goes on , especially if you do allot of hard bottom turns, skins are trashed each season ,they have a durability issue but handle great when new.sound like a win ,win?

If you guys wana see a sleeper ski, Take a look at the Tripple threat. They are a tad shorter but 7 inch wide. Med keel but similar to powder pro design and not as deep .with tail relief cut similar to Carls cut , nice ski rocker and replaceable tunable fins to adjust the response. Theses Are going on this season

Sounds like I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely disliked my experience with Mods skis.

I was in evening spring snow and on a T-Pro. Was very frustrated with those skis that day.

Is it possible to put a cat ski on a pro... I thought the hcr ski on my M was awesome and wonder what it would be like on a pro.
