Changed mine to a 19T last night in about 45 minutes. If you turn your sled on its side you do not even need to drain the gear oil.

if you don't care about the chain breaking or loss of HP.. stay with the larger chain.. what you need is the 102 chain

The 154" comes with 21/45/102 chain
You do not need a new chain to go to 19/45.

What chain do the 146's come stock with?

Are all 146's stock with 23 tooth or 21 tooth tops?

I did the same today, easy swap, slight kink in the chain with the smaller gear but I've seen worse in the old polaris days. From what I've been told even though you are gearing down , you gain a bunch of track speed. I've added more weight, up to 16.6 grams on the pins and now the gearing, hope it works good,

16 grams should be right on--also take the pins and sand them down a bit--they have been sticking as well--need to take just a schosh off them pins. Get some venting in there and take that ridiculus tool kit off the belt cover.

Unlessyou weigh over 230 you'll be much happier with a 20 gear and a 12mm + 8mm set screw in the primary.

Go 19, don't expect much over 65 mph and a lower climbing track speed than a 20.

Yep, ran the 16gram weights (team pin kit) and was on clicker 4. Pulled 8100-8200rpm all day. Track speed anywhere's from 42-45. Still need a little less backshifting though. I bought a 44/33 helix and a 20 tooth gear. I will let ya know when my driver breaks again. :D

Trying to figure out if there's something "good wrong" with my sled. I'm running stock helix and spring in secondary, 16.6 grams with Team pins and stock ramps and spring in the primary but regeared to 20/49 on my 163 and seeing 47-50 mph track speeds when climbing but I'm only in clicker 1 @ 6400 feet.

Skippy,What belt are you using?

Try 2mm over rollers and a 130-350 primary spring. Thing pulls like a beast and holds RPM like a rock!!. With a 19t gear. It upshifts real quick. best clutching I've ever run... Hands down. A few side hills and I was outmarking turbo Nitros.. :beer;
