SKI-DOO BREAKING NEW GROUND IN SLED TECHNOLOGY?

It is new technology for production sleds. Why fault a sled manufacturer for using new ideas to meet EPA regulations. I'm a Polaris guy, but I think new technology that benefits a sport that I love is cool and is good for all of us.

Agreed. It will push the other manufacturer's to go to the next step. I'm not rooting against any manufacturer but I wonder if Ski-Doo will have issues as some others did (mapping, voltage regulators, etc). We all spend too much money on all the makes of sleds to have them break down. Bad karma to wish that on anyone.

I don't know what you are getting at here but it is pretty exciting to have a clean lighter 2 stroke versus a clean heavier 4 stroke. I am wondering if you still think that Doo didn't break new ground when the Rev chassis was developed cause the other 3 followed that direction. Hmmm. Was that exciting for the sledding industry? I'm thinking yes. Or do you think that the old ZX, 1M, Edge, RX1 are still the ticket.:face-icon-small-win

I don't think Eek understands the difference between normal fuel injection thats been around for many years and true direct injection.

:light:Does anyone else find it a little funny that the doo boys are all excited about fuel injection?

We can read the sarcasm in your question.
You are implying that the E-Tec is Ski Doo "catching up" with others who have had EFI for years.
Such a misguided question actually reveals a lack of understanding of the difference between EFI & DI.

The fact that you scoff at the E=Tec is what the rest of us find,,,,as you put it...."a little funny".

The location of the injector is the only real difference, and Doo didn't invent direct injection they copied it

Reminds me of all the Polaris boys finally getting a light rider forward chassis and thinking its somehow going to fix the powerhouse.
