Important Ski-Doo announces DELAYS in 2023 Delivery...

I think it’s just a good practice to shop around a bit on price . I mean if it’s 500$ between dealers that’s not worth shopping for .
The local dealer wanted 300$ doc fees,1295$ shipping and 600$ pdi so 2195$ in fees then there’s 11% sales tax on that .
The dealer I ordered from told me they can’t sell me a sled in a crate in the back yard so they setup and pdi for the cost of the fuel and oil used , doc fees he said your paying cash what doc fees would I charge you ? Freight was also less in the end I saved 2700 on a cash deal from one to another . That’s huge . There is some greed going on the last few years , in a few years when dealers have 100 non current sleds in the back 40 you will see a lot of these fees go away again.

I wonder how some dealers charge freight ,setup, doc fees and others do not.How is it the guy who doesn’t collect all of this still sells the machine for less than the dealer who collects all of this. The dealer who doesn’t collect still is making a profit I would assume or he wouldn’t expose himself to the liability and overhead.I bought a 22 165 turbo last year and after adding sales tax at both dealers I shopped I saved $1876.00.The machine is only worth so much ,no matter what you pay for it.

I did the math and my dealer got 26 sleds in and freight charges is $24700 to ship 26 sleds seems really high to me

To me it actually sounds low. Especially with the price of fuel these days.
Imagine a dealer that got 200 sleds.
All dealers get charged the same freight regardless of the distance from the factory.

Now the commodity surcharge has me curious. Wondering what it will go up to.

Unfortunately, what you were told about your order price is probably accurate, if your dealer only got 26 sleds, they have to keep the lights on and don’t have the units to be able to give a VIP pricing discount. Service after the sale is extremely important, supping your local dealer IMO is more important than trying to save 500 or 1000 bucks.

Dealers are doing good they are not hurting around here the pandemic has strengthened the power sports industry, there’s no non current sleds , clothing, accessories, trailers, atvs anything, service is up 75% . Now the common middle class person is the one struggling to keep the lights on .

They narrowed it at the running boards 3.1” and slimmed the panels down as much as they can. Perhaps it looks bigger on that side cause the clutch side has been narrowed down much more.

Really noticeable head-on.

Looks like the Ninja Turtle has a wad of chew in his cheek.
But I would still love to have one.

My and Tater's 146 Freerides. My Expert is supposedly on the next truck. The 146 sleds are complete. The 154 FR that came the day before had a TWO button gauge. Crossing fingers, we haven't checked our gauges yet.
My 165 Expert got here Thursday/Friday. Complete.
Guys have been stating snowcheck dates, it doesn't matter. The final submission is all at once from what I understand. They go by altitude and probably other things. We ALWAYS snowcheck the last day or sometimes a few days late within the grace period. And we always get them early. Dealer is at 5000 feet.
Strangely enough: The 146 FR for the last two years has been low alt. clutching only. They were here in mid Oct. Which makes me believe that location matters more than the sled.
It looks like the guys that were originally end of this year and early next year are mostly low altitude areas.
Which is funny: Other than some Expeditions and a stray SP, both trucks were nothing but Freerides and Experts/X models. Pretty sure nothing missing anything, at least the FR and Experts.
I would hope that they would fill orders on $16K-$22K sleds before $12K sleds.
