Important Ski-Doo announces DELAYS in 2023 Delivery...

Got to finally see a Gen5 expert non turbo today. As always fit and finish is great. Overall sled looks like a nice improvement. Pumped to get one out on the snow and compare head to head with a Gen4. Two take aways I’m not a fan of. The behind the seat belt storage, goofy. How they narrowed up the sled. The left side is super sucked in and direct inline with the narrow boards. The right side however is bubbled out noticeably wider and not inline with the narrow boards. After I noticed the difference it is all I see lol

I noticed that too.

Doo bragged about narrowing the sled, but the right side seems too fat now. Guess the G6 will fix that issue?

I wonder if going with a belt drive would have made a difference or if it's just that ridiculously large muffler they can't seem to shrink and lighten-up?

I haven't seen one in person yet but heard the same thing. Door says they are 3" narrower and it looks like it's mostly on the left side. They should have made some more effort to make it concentric.

Everyone wants light weight until it looks off center. The right side is just a bit wider but it catches your eye because it is taller too. The antifreeze and turbo raise that side. It won’t bug me in the slightest as I stand over my sled the panels aren’t visible. I’ve been telling everyone it’s shorter, narrower but longer. That’s at least what it feels like standing on it. Although I’ve never had a short riser so that could affect my thinking.

The only people that may complain about it, are the ones that did get one and have to look at the sled from behind. Lol
I thought the sled looked amazing, and was just a concentric as the g4 body lines.

Care less if it looks concentric or not as long as it performs like it should.

100%. The G4 turbo had a bulge on the turbo side.

Fyi, in my other post, it was supposed to be “didn’t get one”, not did.
Bloody autocorrect and trying to type fast on a electronic device. [emoji2359]. I can’t correct the mistake now that I see it, but I think people understood what I ment. [emoji1]
