Ski Covers?

Does anyone know where to get those covers that go over the skis to protect the floor from the carbides?

I just bought a set off e-bay for my XP but they are too narrow. What do you ride and how wide are your skis? If they fit your sled you can have them for what I paid. I think it was about $46.00 USF

Summitseeker. I need a set for Simmons Gen I. I believe they are 6" wide.

Just looked on ebay and dennis kirk. The ski slips they have aren't wide enough for Simmons. The ones I'm thinking of have sides on them and a plastic rod with clips on each end that slides through the ski loop to hold them on. Anybody?

The ones your talking about are made by Sno Stuff. I have a pair for my Simmons. The thing I didn't like about them is they are a pain to put on and take off. You also will want to get a few extra clips as they are easy to lose.

I finally put guides down on my trailer floor and use the Sure Grip dollies to run the sleds in and out of the garage, loading and unloading. With the dollies you at least have steering, much better IMO.

How about using some 2" pvc pipe down the middle, add a few angles to loop over the rear edge, then some angles to go up the front, notch the last piece so you can pin it to the ski handle.

I have three pairs of ski skins that I pulled off some old skies. Cut the back 1/3 off and riveted a strap across the middle and a adjustable strap to the front kick up. They work great. They work just like the SLP skids but they were alot cheeper. Two of the three pairs that I have will fit on Simmons skies the third set is a little to narrow but the work for any other brand.

These are the ones that I got from Dennis Kirk except I bought 4 pull straps instead of using the little plastic rods. They are kind of a pain in the a$$ but not too bad if you strap them on good.
