Sirius XM

I would agree, Mafesto. The sound quality on my satellite stations are worse than my FM stations. Sounds like it's broadcast from inside a tin can when I switch over. I like it only because we travel through a lot of areas without good radio reception and nice to have more station options. But, that's about it.

This is in our '15 Tahoe LTZ with factory Bose stereo and satellite.

I currently have it in my F150 Lariat. The pickup is relatively quiet but I still notice a decrease in sound quality from the factory setup. I travel WA and OR for work and enjoy the ability to listen to a station all day and not fade in and out of FM territory (I work in the woods so even satellite is not available 100% of the time). I get mentally tired after a long day in the truck and swap over to CD's and it is a noticeable improvement which is frustrating as the price of the Sirius keeps climbing and the number of channels I listen to goes down.

I will be into a different truck (F150 XL) that will not have satellite and debated whether to get an aftermarket setup in it but looking at the website a while back to see what options there were for receivers, I was surprised to see most of the setups were reconditioned. This leads me to believe that they were crappy to begin with, or this is not a major part of the their business. I doubt I go that route and will be letting my current subscription expire in February.
