Sinister 509 Goggles???

I have a pair and they fit perfectly with a ToBe helmet. The moveable hinges are a great idea and it helps the goggles fit better than most other goggles. Only time Ive had them fog is when I stop and get snow inside them. My only gripe is the orange/chrome lens they come with are useless at night.

The chrome/orange lens is definitely not a night lens. Nothing works better for night than the clear lenses we have (clear, or chrome/clear). We are also releasing a new yellow lens which will have alot of the highlighting characteristics the orange tint has, but not quite as dark, so it will work well as the light fades. Should be available in a few weeks.

I just got mine and not sure if I am retarded or not, but tried orange lens and clear and have a reflection inside. I can actually see a reflection of my eyes/face on the inside (and I wasn't smoking anything). It's very distracting and I don't wear anymore, I've gone back to my other goggles. Anyone else notice this? They don't seal around the face well either, but I really like the finish and quality otherwise.

if you guys r havin trouble gettin them to seal, just dab a lil bit o greas around the foam, they will seal instantly upon touching your face!!!!!

great product, want the amber lens

i think you have the lens in backwards

If you ride in low light you need the clear lense. They were way to dark to see through for me. The clear/chrome was to dark to. I like my goggles. Used them in -35°c and didn't fog or get cold when using a no fog mask and beleclava.

The center of the lens will not stay in the frame--I think the lens design is not stout enough to hold the lens in place.:(

Otherwise no fogging and great fit with the Quick Strap.

Don't forget the 30 day warranty registration deadline.

I bought a couple of orange lens, just to have as spares. Would really rather have the yellow. Will you guys do exchanges if they haven't been used?

And will the noseguard retrofit on the original googles?

I run a pair with Quick Straps on my Troy Lee MX helmet. Works killer, but the mirror'd lens is a little to dark for classic PacNW overcast/snowing conditions. Haven't had a lot of issues with fogging as long as I'm moving.

509

I Like The Gogles But They Don't Fit The Klim Helmet Opening They Let Alot Of Air In The 1/4" Gap On Top And Sides.

man this is totally opposite than a thread on Dootalk, my pair fogs up unless you are going 40 and i end up spending more time with them off then on. i tried them about 10 times then went to my old oakley goggles, let my friend try them just to see if they would work for him and they did the same thing, it was pretty unanimus on Dootalk aswell. i wish they worked because they fit in my helmet really well and have some awesome features.

Mine have never fogged up. I used them with a Klim helmet, and yes, there is a gap, but nothing a balaclava dont take care of.

Two thumbs up for my 509's.:beer;

Definately the best goggles I've ever owned. Fit great inside my helmet and haven't had any problems with fogging up. Great to hear about the nose guard, and a little extra foam will be great. Terrific product 03RMking!!

I just got mine and they are best ones I have ever owned. I love the blue tint/blue chrome lense for daytime and the clear lense for night. Would love to try out those yellow lenses when they come out.

Okay Im contemplating buying some.. seems like everyone loves them and say are they worth it.. Just curious what does everyone like about them that makes them worth it... Are they that different from everyother goggle?

In all honesty I am not crazy over them. It is a mother-effer to get quick straps on them. I have been a fan of Smiths. You can also order Smiths directly from them with quick-straps already on them.
