adding silicone or mass to the springs will increase the natural frequency that inturn prevents vibration. Natural frequency = (k/m)^.5 k is spring constant and m is mass....mass of spring + mass of silicone. More silicone higher the frequency.
Spring vibration will result in premature fatique.
