Sidekick ice scratchers

Im gonna venture out and say I think there junk, I had a set on my 07 dragon, they were installed correctly just like there suppose to be and when going down the trail I looked at them and they were just bouncing off the trail and not throughing anything up. They were the first generation and had no carbide tip. I was not impressed. sounds like I may have a "bad set" or something everybody else on here seems to like them.

i had the first gen of them ( clear coating straight cable) they didn't have enough down pressure for my 05 900 rmk 166 with a 2.4" track, then they sent me a pair of the second gen scratchers ( clear coating bent cable) they worked fine until all the coating fell off, then i just got a pair of gen 3 scratchers from them( black coating with bent cable) haven't put them on yet, but if what they said about the coating is true, they should work great. all in all there customer service is AWESOME, Ive never seen a company stand behind there product like this one has, yes they have had some issues but they seem to be updating as soon as the issues come to light.

just an honest opinion, I'm putting the scratchers on tomorrow and going riding Wednesday so i should know more

What are we talking for price are they comparable to the first style of scratchers? I bought 3 pairs of the first version from summitSeeker 3 years ago and they have worked great even though they have been straightened several times from backing up with them down. Anyway I just had 2 pairs break on the weekend so I am looking for some more?
