Side vents, pet proof screen from Home Depot?

I want to put side vents on my edge RMK using the pet proof screen from Home Depot. Was wondering if the heat from the exhaust can would melt the screen, it's a stock can. Anybody done this before, or have input on it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

here's a pic of my vents I just made using pet screen. I don't see why it wouldn't hold up fine

Looks good, that's pretty much what I had planned. I guess I'll gust have to try it, if it melts it will increase air flow right!!!!
