After fighting it for a very long time, I was finally able to get my panels on. After 4 or 5 days of them being on, they go right on now!
I suppose the tpo panels just have their own little form memory, and they finally pulled into position.
Still think I'm going to be replacing the front clips with hood straps etc... Or just using them in addition.
