Sickest pow in NoCO

That could be the sickest pow in the whole west!! I cant believe how many snotel sites are red and thats all states. Its ugly!!

Huh? They don't change colors with lack of snow. The blue means that sensors are enhanced for better data, whereas red is standard. Or am I missing something?

I thought the colors meant % of normal. Thats what the legend says when I overlay the .kmz on Google earth. hmmmmm. Guess I need to look at that more.

I just looked again and they are color-coded for the snow water equivalent as percent of normal. Red being 0% of normal green being 60% of normal blue being 120% of normal and so on. I just did a print screen and it wont let me paste it on here. Any ideas?

You gotta save an image to upload, you can paste into an empty image doc, like with Pain(t) or Gimp. Easier to just get a Mac :)

There is a google maps (web) version of that map with the water equivalent dots. I have to get to my desk to grab the link though.

I think weknowsnow has a link to it too...
