Should moderators advertise ?

As for the Moderators on SnoWest.
They are given the option of paying for their membership or receiving it free of charge in exchange for the tine and effort they put in. Its about 50-50 for who pays their own way and who doesn't. Thus far, since 2009, NO manufacturer has ever approached me about going after the moderators with special deals or incentives. NONE of them have ever reached out to us and said Hey, Have we got a deal for you!!
So far as I know we do not have a single factory "Sponsored" moderator on SnoWest. Everyone of us pays out of our own pocket for all the gear we buy and use, including myself. All of the Reviews and Installations I have done have been at my own expense.
One exception is the upcoming review of the BCA Link Radios. Much to my surprise when I ordered 2 of them, they sent them to me free of charge, but with a 60 day required return. If I fail to return them in 60 days, then I have to buy them. Assuming they perform as I have heard from several other SnoWest members, I have every intention of buying several of them.
Now, don't get me wrong, if Polaris or Ski-Do or Cat approached us and offered their sleds at 50% off, I am SURE they would win over some converts in short order, but SADLY I see NO signs of that happening
No! Not going to let it go because you proclaimed to know both sides of the story! I can tell you for a fact that you do NOT know both sides of the story, because I know the OP much better than you do! And I know you did not contact the OP, but choose to take sides!
If you could not fix the issue, you would have been better off butting out! So the way I see it, that is an unfair and biased influence!

Also they were, or at least should have been made a mod because of the mannerism and integrity shown along with level of respect for the rules etc.
I can tell you that it really does become a conflict of interest in some ways though.
I remember a closet tree hugger getting all pissy ALL OVER a thread I had on SF with the Calvin peeing on tree hugger t-shirt.
I was giving part of the money to SAWS with those too. I was a paying sponsor as well as a mod there.
The guy even joined SAWS just to bitch about me and my Tshirts because tree huggers don't like pee on them. That went well for him..... or not.
I so wanted to just delete his crap off of there and would have been in the right doing it according to the rules.
but still I just couldn't cross that line moderating on my own topics.
That just seemed wrong.
Nature took it's course and he got ran, but that's another story too.
Moderators never got special pricing for favors either.
It just does not happen.

Actually this thread has more to do with integrity! You might want to look up the definition of that word?
Mods advertising is a basic integrity question. Some of us have more than others, and sometimes, try as we might we have a laps in judgment?
Skins company is a classic example of a company that lacks integrity, they would rather operate on arrogance! You might want to look that word up also?
WTF do they teach these kids in school these days?
