Should i fully clip my track for $120 bux...

My track last year was fully clipped and didn't ratchet at all. This year on my new sled only every second piece is clipped but i notice that unless i run it super tight it ratchets all the time. So i looked into fully clipping it but its going to cost $120 bux... i'm not sure it if is worth it. Any ideas?

I'm no expert, but I would put the $120 towards some better drivers. What kind of sled is it?
