I was offered this sled today for 1500 bucks, I think its a 99, it has 3300 miles with pull reverse. I live in mn and basically ride off trail in 3-4 of snow. I also was thinking getting an 02 600 zr with a 121x2in instead. What should I do?

I had a 2001 gen II rmk 800........that sled cranked on. I bought it as a first sled then traded to a rev. i had an slp pipe and can, m-10 suspension, and a lexan hood..........i liked that sled. i didn't like the weak steering post though. even though i am a Ski-Doo'er, that Poolaris ripped!!!!
That is a '99. I had the same sled, it rips and is very reliable. Mine was a 136" 2" and it got stuck fast in the steep and deep. The one piece tunnel and seat really sucks and is heavy. I switched mine to an Edge style seat. I think I'd take it over the 600 zr.

Anyhoo I had a 00' rmk800 136" just like that one since it was new and loved it, but as posted it got stuck alot in the mountains as there is too much power for the track and pretty soon no one wanted to help or ride with me after the longtrack mt sleds started coming out. That thing will rip on the flats and trails tho! $1500 sounds good, it will flat smoke the 600zr

I woudl personally go with the 600 summit. Roughly the same hp and a WWAAAYYY better chassis.

i too would choose the ski-doo over the rmk in this situation......
The guy just called back. The ski doo had 4500 mi. thats a little high for me. But i did find a 02 600 renegade for 2400 with 2200 mi... Is that worth a grand more almost? maybe i could presbyterian him down a little

I would think the Polaris should be fine for you, I like the gen 2's... Not enough that I want one over a summit.... but i wouldn't talk bad about it.. You checking around on Craigslist for a good deal....?? If not, do it
