Shot in the dark

I know this is short notice and probably not likely but is anyone interested in taking a MN guy out for one day on Tuesday of this upcoming week. He is in SLC and wants to go but doesn't have anyone to ride with. He is a great guy and avid outdoorsman but only has a little experience mtn riding. It would more or less just be a chance to meet someone new for a ride (and maybe some teaching) who I am trying to get addicted to the sport for future trips.
Most of you don't know me as I only come out once a year but love it and look forward to it all year. I also read the threads on here nearly every day so I know many of you are willing to ride with new guys often.
Like I said, it's a shot in the dark but if anyone wants to do this, let me know in the next few days. He plans on renting a sled in SLC and trailering to somewhere in the area.
Thanks, Greg

let me know....Ill ride with him..... pm me and will work out the details. I have rentals as well but if he has that covered does not matter.

I ride every Tuesday Most likely be riding Bountiful. Just two of us going up more than willing to add another.

I took your buddy out today and had a great ride. Put in at guardsman and rode around to snake creek. The snow was tuff but he did very well. He made a few good climbs once he got used to the m8. Had to get him out of a serious tree stuck but most noobs would never even try the climb that he did. What he didnt realize is the 100 yard side hill once you made it through the 5 foot gap in the trees. After that you either make the long side hill or the tree gods will take your sled. It was a great day!!

there aren't that many places/people out there willing to do this - especially up guardsman, he must have done a great job. good on ya!

Thanks!!! wasnt a big deal really. Great guy and always good to introduce others to "REAL" mountain sledding that we all love so much.

Thanks Darrin and thanks to Cntrvl Sledder for offering. People in Ut and specifically on this forum are great for offering this hospitality up. Reed had a great time and says thanks again. He told me a few stories of the day and it sounded like a good time. Hopes for better snow next year. Glad he didn't make it through that gap in the trees because a 100 yd side hill would be tough for the newbie. Although he said there was a few close calls, glad he didn't wreck the sled and had a great time. I will be out at Beaver Creek Lodge on tuesday-sat and hoping for some fresh pow. Can't wait!
