ShockWave adjustible progressive reverse angle HELIX

What????OT just a week ago you said the progressive was old school and uneeded in the Doo's, now your saying it the way to go????????

The progreesive helix, multi-angle helix, twin trax helix and straight helix are all differant helix profiles. The 46/42 or 44/40 is a multi angle and not a progressive

Example: A Progresive will have a 58/44 on the 1st angle and than a with a 58/42 on the 2nd angle. They even make a progressive with a 3rd angle. What all this means in terms of thw word "Progressive" a buzz word developed by Team Industry's is the ability to either run a 58/44 or 58/42 which ever profile you chose to run by adjusting the helix nothing more nothing less when it comes to the buzz word Progressive

we should have the new helixs by friday if SW gets them from the machine shop:D:Dcant wait to try them:eek:

Why the big need for a new helix when the SW allows you to adjust the profile with every 1/4 turn up to 25 degrees if im not mistaking....I just seems that having to change the helix defeats the purpose of having the SW.

When i ran the SW on my boosted Apex it came complete and ready to go.

the only thing they doo is make the new reverse angle ramps--helix is the same--all ramps are interchangeable:D:beer;

hey guys - quick question. I'm hearing reports of the ramps on the SW being quite narrow and really wearing on the stock rollers. Any reports of this? Wondering why they chose to make their ramps narrower?

dont have the answer on why they are narrow :confused:but talked to Ken at SW and was told they wear to a certain point and then they are fine---he said they have always made them narrow and have sleds with 3500 miles and no problems---we'll see , ours are going too be here for this weekends ride:D--was also told you can polish them to cut down on the wearing of the rollers---hope this helps:eek:
