Setting up 15 FC450, have some questions

AME hand warmers. They are designed to shut down if the battery voltage drops below a certain point. They work great. I had a Trail tech stator in my bike. Like I said earlier switching to the new Lithium battery is the ticket. The batteries are so small you could actually put two in if you wanted to. After I switchd to the new style battery I never used my jumper pack again. Just remember to bump start 3 or 4 times before cranking on it to warm up the battery.

The new LI battery ewr talking about is that the stock one that comes on the 17,s? Also the hand warmers do have a shut off but they still stay on after bike is shut off, There must be a way to wire these so they shut off with motor and not wait till batt voltage drops?

....

I think I just found some spacers, thanks to Gage Brothers Motorsports. Amazing the difference in service you get when someone that knows what you are taking about.

Thanks SlickO, I'm glad I was able to help. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

You can put them on a switch for sure or wire them in before the battery to power of the rectifier. I just went to battery because it was easier .

that's interesting connecting to rectifier, Do you know that this actually works?

I emailed the guy direct from Air Pro. Granted he's the guy selling them but he claims they're the way to go. Said they've ran all the way up to 35psi in there and no problems with fork seals. He says with stock valving and springs 8-10psi makes all the difference in the world. A few of us in Missoula are going to give it a try.

Set a thread and report back for sure! Given the issues I've had with fork seals and such in the snow, I'm leery of an air system that could leak. With a traditional setup at least I still have steel springs if all goes to hell.

WanderUtah, the air pro fork is for a regular fork with springs in it you are just adding additional pressure through the bleeder screw hole. I am wondering myself if the additional pressure would blow out the seals, on the other hand it is similar to adding more oil to the fork. When you have more oil volume that reduces the volume of air you have to compress and that is a lot like adding pressure to the chamber. For my set up I went with .64 springs, a little more oil, and put fork skins on the tubes. Then again I'm no expert.

Ahhh. Ok, cool, good to know. I've been snagging some 2016 bikes because I don't want full air springs. This sounds like great option.
